The longest hike within the Torres del Paine Conservation Reserve crosses its core, passing through grasslands, Las Chinas, and native forests. As it traverses diverse environments, this exploration invites reflection on our role as guardians of the land and its conservation.

We drive to the park’s northeast sector and begin our hike along the slopes of Cerro Obelisco. The trail leads us through steppe, shrubland, and lenga forests, revealing sweeping views of the Paine Massif and the Torres. To the north, the cliffs of Obelisco rise with layered rock formations and soaring condors. After taking in the landscape, we descend and return by van.
