Additional Information

Getting to Patagonia National Park

Reaching Patagonia National Park is part of the experience. Daily flights from Santiago connect to Balmaceda Airport, followed by a scenic overland journey of roughly five hours along Chile’s legendary Carretera Austral. The route passes turquoise lakes, native forests, and the jagged peaks of Cerro Castillo.

Travelers often choose to extend their trip with a stop at the Marble Caves on Lake General Carrera, a perfect prelude to the adventures that await at the lodge. Lodge-to-lodge connections with Explora Torres del Paine and Explora El Chaltén are also available, creating a seamless way to explore Patagonia’s most remarkable territories.

Best Time to Travel

The park reveals distinct landscapes and atmospheres throughout the year. While the region transforms across the seasons, from the vivid greens and long daylight hours of summer to the golden forests of early autumn, Explora Patagonia National Park welcomes travelers exclusively between October and April, when conditions are ideal for hiking, biking, and discovering the park’s vast rewilded territory.
