The Local Place
The Local Place sits tucked inside a beautifully restored building in the heart of Centerville’s historic public square. The owner, originally from Washington State, fell in love with Centerville’s small-town feel and saw an opportunity to create something warm, welcoming, and deeply connected to the community. That vision became The Local Place, part coffee shop, part gathering space, and all heart.
Alongside their specialty coffee drinks, you’ll find flavored local sodas, fresh lemonade, and energy drinks for an afternoon boost. The menu features hearty sandwiches, crisp salads, waffles, and homemade ice cream, along with rotating seasonal specials and creative themed drinks for events like the National Banana Pudding Festival.
On the second floor, open Monday through Saturday, you’ll find the MADE at The Local offers a paint-your-own pottery and craft studio, open Monday through Saturday. It’s just one more reason to stop by, slow down, and stay awhile.

Horseshoe Bend Farm Wines
Nestled on 280 scenic acres along the horseshoe-shaped bend of the Duck River, Horseshoe Bend Farm Wines in is the passion project of owners Kim and Dr. Ron Thomason. What began as a family farm in 2008 has blossomed into a thriving agritourism destination, featuring 100 acres of row crops, an apiary, and thousands of blueberry and blackberry plants.

Guests can also enjoy farm tours, U-Pick berry experiences, and stays at two on-site vacation rentals.
