Review: Sensory app which is best? Almost every company has an app allowing you to control sensory equipment but finding out which is best is difficult. In this eshot we look at the sensory app provided by Experia.
Firstly, what can it control? The beauty of this sensory app is that it forms part of the IRiS system created by Experia. This means that it can control a variety of products designed to stimulate or calm all of the senses except taste – and that’s a pretty big deal! It can control any IRiS product in any kind of configuration, so that could be a bubble tube, fibre optics, fan, aroma, fog, snow, projector, computer and even a vibrating floor! Infact there are over 50 products available, all controlled via the app! The beauty of this system is that you can swap and change the switches you use and the equipment you control at the press of a switch.
Secondly, how does it control the products detailed above? The app features a variety of control switches from Colour Selector to Sound Activator and more. Each of the switches has been designed for a particular use in mind. For example if you were developing a person’s vocalisation skills you would select the sound activation mode. If however you wanted to develop a person’s balance and movement skills 20
