We’ve been busy! As part of our deepening partnership with the University of Exeter, significant improvements will be made to the Exeter Northcott Theatre this summer – redecoration and new furnishing downstairs in the foyer, Wi-Fi, a brand new box office by the front door, better air circulation in the auditorium – and quite a bit beside. We’ll also be welcoming students and academics into the building for lectures on Thursdays and Fridays from September. We are returning to making our own shows – our first Exeter Northcott Production is A Christmas Carol in collaboration with Devon based Creative Cow. The delightful new version is by Katherine Senior, will be directed by Amanda Knott and star Derek Frood as Scrooge. We are bringing more excellent, diverse, work to Exeter than ever before. We launch Exeter Northcott Theatre @, programming work at our partner venues in the city and on campus. This autumn we extend the programme in the Great Hall (Jasper Carrott & Alistair McGowan) and co-present the excellent Cscape Dance’s new show Taste at Exeter Phoenix. We have no fewer than three shows straight from the West End: Hetty Feather, Jeeves & Wooster and Gangsta Granny; a new take on The Odyssey from English Touring Theatre, a fabulous new musical version of The Silver Sword and a new production of the Terence Rattigan classic Flare Path. There is a packed programme of one nighters – including the world famous Jongleurs Comedy Club and dance premiers from Russell Maliphant and Tavaziva. Oh and three Operas from our favourite touring Opera Company – the hugely popular, hugely classy – English Touring Opera. We want your experience to be the best it can possibly be when you come to visit us. That’s why we’re so pleased to be making improvements to the foyer and auditorium. It’s also why we’ve launched our Green Matinees. We can’t solve the daytime parking on campus in term time. What we can do, is offer you discounted tickets to help you get to us by public transport. We hope this helps. Also, please try out our scrummy new food. We’ve taken the catering back in house so that we can offer a broader range and cut out those irritating extra queues to order your drinks. As I say, we’ve been busy. Which brings me to the new Membership Scheme. Have a look at the benefits. We think they’re tempting. Last but not least check out the Charity Command Performance. Those of you who joined us last December will all agree it was a night to remember. There is level access to the theatre via our front entrance on Stocker Road and via our rear entrance on The Queen’s Drive. The upper levels of the theatre and the auditorium are accessed by a lift. TALK – FREE pre or post show talks or events accompany some performances.

CONCESSIONS: where concessions are advertised, discounted prices are available on price bands B, C & D for benefit recipients, registered disabled, patrons aged 60+, students and under 26s, unless stated otherwise on the event page. Only one concession applies unless otherwise stated.
BOOKING FEE: all transactions are subject to a £2 booking fee. However, we no longer charge for posting tickets or credit card processing. The booking fee does not apply to cash purchases or purchases under £10.
STUDENT STANDBYS: standbys must be bought in person and are available to students in full time education, are subject to availability, and must be purchased on the day of the performance up to one hour before the advertised performance start time.

GETTING HERE IS EASY Situated at the heart of the University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus, the Exeter Northcott Theatre is easier to get to than you might think, with good public transport links and plenty of FREE parking a short distance from the theatre. N
Getting home by bus The D bus leaves the bus stop opposite the front entrance of the theatre on North Park Road at 21mins and 51mins past the hour after 6pm and continues until 11.51pm (Mon - Sat) and 11.10pm (Sundays) to the city centre, ready for you to connect to other city centre late night services. Getting here by train From Exeter St Davids Station, take the 1km walk up the hill to the University Campus. Getting here by bus The D and H buses run from Exeter City Centre direct to our theatre 7 days a week including Bank Holidays. However we recommend you catch the D bus if you are travelling from the city centre as the route is more direct. The last D services from the city centre to Exeter Northcott for evening shows Monday to Saturday are at 6.30pm (for 7pm shows), 7pm (for 7.30pm shows) and 7.30pm (for 8pm shows). Sunday D services start at 9am, then 9.30am and then at 55 and 25mins past the hour until 11.10pm. Getting here on foot or by bike We’d like to encourage those who are able to walk or cycle to the Theatre to do so whenever they can. There are several cycle paths and lanes in and around the Theatre and university campus to ensure the safety of cyclists and there is a cycle shelter to the left of the theatre’s front entrance. Getting here by car All car parking is free on campus after 6pm Mon - Fri, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. All restrictions on parking are lifted for visitors during these times, but please be aware that car parks are pay and display at all other times. Vehicle Routes and Parking The nearest car parks to the theatre are Car Parks C & D, located only a few minutes walk away, and Theatre patrons may park from 5pm if displaying a voucher which the Box Office will issue with your tickets on request. Car Park C, is located next to the INTO Academic Centre at the top of Stocker Road. Entrance to the car park is on North Park Road, opposite the bus stop. Car Park D is located at the end of North Park Road and is just a five minute walk from the theatre. This is a permit holder only car park Mon – Fri until 6pm, please check with the box office if attending a weekday daytime performance.

Stocker Road is open to pedestrians and cyclists only. Vehicles should enter the campus from Prince of Wales Road via Streatham Drive and then The Queen’s Drive, before joining North Park Road and then Rennes Drive (please see map below). The biggest demand for parking at Streatham Campus is expected to be between 9am and 6pm from Monday to Friday during the University term. For this reason we now only schedule the following daytime shows: Green Matinees – please show your support for the environment and use Public Transport to
attend these discounted midweek matinee shows; School Matinees – we advise groups to travel to the theatre by coach for these performances. This map will help you find the car parks.
