Among those benefitting from the team’s efforts are the Exeter-based charity InFocus, who provide specialist services for young children with vision impairment and complex needs.
Working with InFocus, the Chiefs team have been able to provide a range of activities, working around throwing and catching, as well as accuracy of throwing at targets.
The InFocus youngsters have also progressed impressively on their tagging games - with the standard and competitiveness rising by the week.
Coach Milla Lynch, who has been helping with the delivery, said: “The progress of the students has been extremely inspirational. Coaching students with different educational requirements presents a wide range of challenges, but the students have made it so fulfilling and have taught me so much in return.
“The opportunity to work with them is one I am truly grateful for and one of the highlights of my week.”
Each year InFocus, who are based on Topsham Road, provide hours of education, interventions to support vision impairment, mobility and habilitation training, as well as dedicated nursing and healthcare.
