Buried Without Oxygen, Organic

Waste Becomes a Long-Term Source of Methane Emissions.

Landfill Methane Fuels Smog,

Weakens Crops, and Undermines

Nature’s Ability to Remove CO

Scientific models predict organic waste in landfill may produce as much

as 170 m3CH4/ t waste

By applying GWP 1t organic waste in landfill has the potential to produce emissions equal to 10.59 tCO2e.

Separated into a wet and dry organic waste stream

Deployed 2 80kg/day rapid dehydrators for wet organic waste

Dehydrated wet waste and dry waste were blended into a homogeneous feed stock briquette

Biomass briquettes were converted to thermal energy which was captured and used to replace 100% of the diesel used for camp water thermal heating.
