New Year’s celebration stays at South Lodge
New Year’s is such a special time of the year, for both reflection of the year almost passed, and of course celebration of starting the New Year and all the exciting things it has to offer. It’s the perfect time to think about ‘time’ itself...how we spend it, what we want to do more of and achieve for ourselves and with loved ones. Why not start as you mean to go on, by celebrating the big night all together? Celebrating in style is very much on the menu at South Lodge this New Year, but before you get the glamorous party started, why not head on down to the spa for a revitalising dip in our outdoor hydrotherapy pool, or our wild swimming pool if you fancy braving the elements for the natural endorphin high. Enjoy our indoor thermal experiences, with a stunning sauna and infinity pool boasting views out onto the South Downs, or make an appointment to get your nails done in the Ridgeview Beauty Bar ready for the night ahead.
For the main event, enjoy a delicious dining experience in either The Pass or Camellia restaurant before retiring to the lounge for a quiet drink, or heading to the South Downs Suite to dance the night away with our live band. Then it’s time to start 2023 with a bang, enjoying a firework display with a glass of Ridgeview English sparkling wine to toast to the New Year before heading back inside for a midnight feast of cheese and biscuits, along with more dancing until 1am. After what may be a well needed lie in on New Year’s Day, you can choose between a breakfast or brunch to start the New Year the right way. If you are departing today don’t forget to take a few more hours to relax in the spa, maybe with a treatment to relieve any aches and pains from all your dancing?
The big day is here! It’s time for you to really relax before the big celebrations begin. Spend the afternoon exploring the grounds, enjoying some quiet time in the lounge, or relaxing by the pool in the spa. When evening falls, the real celebrating begins. Indulge in an incredible dinner in either The Pass or Camellia before dancing the night away, toasting to 2023 with a glass of bubbles in hand and watching the incredible firework display.
New Year’s Eve
Start your morning off by choosing between a traditional English breakfast in Camellia, or wander along to Botanica from 8am where you can enjoy a more relaxed offering, or perhaps breakfast in bed will be order of the day? 3pm If you are checking in today, please feel free to arrive at your leisure from 3pm, settle into your room before spending your afternoon with a wintery walk around the grounds, curled up with a good book, or enjoying all that the spa has to offer. From 7pm In the evening, dress to impress before taking a seat in The Pass or Camellia. After dinner head to the South Downs Suite to dance the night away with our live band. 12pm Toast to 2023 with a glass of Ridgeview English sparkling wine whilst enjoying a firework display followed by a midnight feast of cheese and biscuits, and dancing until 1am.
Enjoy a slow, lazy morning with perhaps a Bloody Mary ‘cure all’ breakfast in Camellia, or enjoy a well needed lie in before a supercharge brunch in Botanica. Spend the rest of the day blowing away the cobwebs with a stroll in the gardens, before heading to the spa for some well deserved R&R.
New Year’s Day
If you’re an earlier riser a traditional breakfast will be served in the Camellia restaurant, but if you are looking for a more relaxed start to the year, head over to Botanica for a spot of brunch. 11am If you’re leaving us today, check out is 11am, but you’re welcome to relax in the spa until 2pm. From 7pm For those staying with us another night, choose to dine in either The Pass or Botanica restaurant.* *Pre-booking is required.
