New Year’s celebration stays at Lainston House
New Year’s is such a special time of the year, for both reflection of the year almost passed, and of course a celebration of starting the New Year and all the exciting things it has to offer. It’s the perfect time to think about ‘time’ itself...how we spend it, what we want to do more of and achieve for ourselves and with loved ones. Why not start as you mean to go on, by spending this time together? This year we are slowing down the pace and doing things a little differently here at Lainston House, with a Champagne reception and six-course meal awaiting your arrival. But before getting dressed up for an evening of mouth-watering dishes, why not enjoy a relaxing morning stroll or bike ride around the grounds. After what may be a well needed lie in on New Year’s Day, enjoy a hearty breakfast before exploring the grounds.
The big day is here! It’s time for you to really relax, spend the afternoon in your room, enjoying some quiet time in front of the fireplace, or exploring the grounds. When evening falls, indulge in an incredible dinner in The Avenue before toasting to 2023 with a glass of bubbles in hand.
New Year’s Eve
1pm Arrive at your leisure from 1pm, settle into your room and then join us for scrumptious cream tea in The Drawing room to start off your relaxing New Year’s break. Spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying some quiet time before heading back to your room to get ready for dinner. 7pm Enjoy a Champagne reception and canapés in The Drawing room ahead of dinner and the big countdown. 8pm Take your seat for a stunning six-course tasting menu in The Avenue restaurant with paired wines. After dinner retire to The Cedar Bar to enjoy a drink or two. 12am Bring in the New Year in The Drawing room, as we welcome in 2023 with a glass of bubbles at midnight.
Wake up feeling refreshed with a full English breakfast in The Avenue, or enjoy a slow, lazy morning with breakast in bed. Spend the rest of the morning blowing away the cobwebs with a stroll in the gardens, before heading into the drawing room to warm up in front of the fire.
New Year’s Day
7am to 11am Whether you are looking for a more relaxed start to the year or you’re an earlier riser start the day off with a delicious, traditional English breakfast in The Avenue. 12pm No need to rush off, depart at your leisure after bidding farewell to friends and family. Perhaps you would like to wrap up warm and take a ploughman’s picnic into the grounds for lunch, or maybe even take it with you to enjoy in the local area before heading home.* *Additional charges will apply.
