Why Should I Schedule a Biometric Screening? A Biometric Screening is the first step in the Voluntary Wellness Initiative, a program through the Smart Choice Motivation Alliance that promotes workplace wellness. The screenings are free for Excela Health employees. Your screening consists of height, weight, body mass index, blood pressure, blood cholesterol and blood glucose. Scheduling is easy and can be done online! Visit the Voluntary Wellness Initiative page under Employee Wellness on the Intranet. View the checklist and read how employees can qualify for a reduced per pay deduction premium medical plan. Sign up today for your free screening by going to the Calendar of Events on the Intranet. Don’t wait until August to schedule an appointment! There are plenty of screening appointments available now, which become very limited in August.

We will be honoring employees who have recently earned degrees and their offspring (sons and daughters or stepchildren) who have graduated from high school, college or technical school. The graduation gallery will be posted for all to view on Featured News and EMA. Please email a photo to EMA@excelahealth.org and include the following: First and last name of graduate, department of employee as well as the graduation school and/or degree and future plans.

Good Egg Excela Health is full of good eggs; employees who are helping our community, achieving success through professional accomplishments and bringing positive change to the Excela environment. Adam Rapsinski, Biomedical Technician at EPIC Rehab, noticed a therapy mat table was in need of repair. Adam took the time to research possible solutions and found a fix that made the table safe for patient use, while saving Excela Health from a costly purchase. This fiscally responsible thinking is commended, way to go Adam!

Celebrating Pet Therapy Week Visit with our Pet Therapy animals and their owners as we celebrate the invaluable service they provide to our patients and staff the week of April 22. For more information see Featured News on the Intranet.
