Step your way into some cash

February 7, 2019

February is American Heart Month The month of February is recognized as American Heart Month. February 1 was Wear Red Day, a day used to kick off the month and raise awareness of heart health in women. Dr. Maliha Zahid, Excela Health cardiologist, said “Traditionally, heart disease had been considered to be a ‘man’s disease’. That is no longer the case. The importance of heart disease in women and the differences and challenges they present are being recognized widely now.” Join Excela Health and Dr. Zahid in recognizing American Heart Month by promoting heart health!

Excela Commits to Joint Commission Safety Efforts The Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals were developed to assure that nationally recognized safety standards were developed and implemented across the industry to reduce preventable harm events. To assure compliance at Excela Health and heighten awareness of the importance of these processes we follow the National Patient Safety Goal AUDIT Calendar. In the month of February, we will focus on hand hygiene. The calendar and more information can be found on the ‘Patient Safety’ section under ‘Quality’ (located along the blue bar) on the Intranet.
