COMMON SYMPTOMS AND CONDITIONS WE TREAT:

• Pregnancy-related concerns: fertility fitness, pelvic/back pain, diastasis recti, pelvic floor dysfunction
• Postnatal recovery: safe return to exercise after childbirth
• Persistent pelvic pain: endometriosis, bladder pain syndrome, mesh complications

Our registered Pelvic Health Physiotherapists can treat and lodge ACC claims for maternal birth injuries (MBI). From 1 October 2022, ACC covers injuries that occur from the beginning of labour through to delivery. Common injuries include:
• Pelvic organ prolapse
• Coccyx fractures or dislocations
• Levator avulsions
• Obstetric tears
• Symphysis pubis capsule or ligament tears

Does your patient have healthcare insurance?
Refer to pelvic health physiotherapist for private physiotherapy (self-funded) YES
Refer to pelvic health physiotherapist for private physiotherapy (fully or partially funded by insurance) NO NO YES
Refer to pelvic health physiotherapist for ACC Maternal Birth Injury (attach hospital/clinical notes)
These patients may also be eligible for other services such as ACC Pain Management, Training for Independence or vocational input which we can investigate on behalf
