RECYCLING
THINK GLOBALLY… …ACT LOCALLY
• Recycling is an excellent way of saving energy and conserving the environment. Did you know that: • 1 recycled tin can would save enough energy to power a television for 3 hours. • 1 recycled glass bottle would save enough energy to power a computer for 25 minutes. • 1 recycled plastic bottle would save enough energy to power a 60-watt light bulb for 3 hours. • 70% less energy is required to recycle paper compared with making it from raw materials.
• Some Interesting Facts • Up to 6o% of the rubbish that ends up in the dustbin could be recycled. • The unreleased energy contained in the average dustbin each year could power a television for 5,000 hours. • The largest lake in the earth could be filled with rubbish in 8 months. • On average, 16% of the money you spend on a product pays for the packaging, which ultimately ends up as rubbish. • As much as 50% of waste in the average dustbin could be composted. • Up to 80% of a vehicle can be recycled. • 9 out of 10 people would recycle more if it were made easier.
REDUCE-REUSE-RECYCLE
Recycling is the process of collecting and processing materials that would otherwise be thrown away as trash and turning them into new products. Recycling can benefit your community and the environment.
WHAT CAN WE DO? • • • • • •
•
1. Choose paper packaging instead of plastic. 2 Use environmentally friendly products. 3. Help waste recycling. 4. Avoid single-use products. 5. Reuse most items. 6. Use recycled products.
WE NEED
• More recycling plants. • More toxic waste dumps. • Stricter environmental laws.
• Benefits of Recycling • Reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills and incinerators; • Conserves natural resources such as timber, water, and minerals; • Prevents pollution caused by reducing the need to collect new raw materials; • Reduces greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global climate change; • Helps sustain the environment for future generations; • Helps create new well-paying jobs in the recycling and manufacturing industries .
The increase of wastes drown the earth: That’s why we reduce- reuse- Recycle now! We can change t he world all together
The more rubbish we recycle, the more life we give to our planet.

There is not from the one side man and from the other nature. There is only nature. When we contact with nature, we find our humanity. When we respect nature, we become humans. Nicolas Hulot
Recycling is not only a sample of civilization, but also need and attitude of thanks life.
