Distinctive Craft Ales From The Heart Of The Welsh Valleys

FAMILY B U

SI N ESS VALUES

Tudor Brewery is family owned and managed, it is a traditional brewery that focuses on crafting superb quality beers, ales and stouts. Our award-winning, crafted products have claimed top marks in a multitude of competitions! We are always listening and looking to improving and will always concentrate on delivering a quality product to the public. Tudor’s humble beginnings have allowed the family brewery to focus on developing a signature taste across all our products that is identifiable and unique. Stephen Devine founded Tudor Brewery back in 2011 with the vision of creating a business that looked back at the traditional methods of brewing. His passion and dedication to the brand was so strong that he worked right up to two weeks before he sadly lost his fight with cancer. In his honour and out of love and respect for his memory, his wife and children agreed to continue his dreams and grow the business whilst remaining ethical and honest.

Our Blorenge Golden Ale achieved the highest accolade of Three Gold Stars at the Great Taste Awards, run by the Guild of Fine Foods, and regarded as the Oscars of the Food and Drink Industry.

ONAL PROCESSES TRADITI Tudor Brewery is a traditional, artisan brewery producing craft ales, beers and stouts following the model of a cottage industry. Our entire production process is crafted by hand, starting with weighing out the grain to produce the mash. After boiling and simmering the mix, the mash is sparged by hand. The mash is removed and is given to a local farm to be used as animal feed - so nothing goes to waste. The hops are added and our expert brewers keep a close eye on the temperature to ensure a consistent taste to each brew. Each step of our process has been carefully developed over the years to give each product that unique Tudor taste. After fermentation the beer is bottled, capped and labelled by hand and stored for it to naturally settle before distribution. This commitment and hard work have resulted in Tudor Brewery winning a multitude of awards, including Microbrewery of the year.

THE M O

UN TAIN RANGE

TUDOR BREWERY originated in the beautiful market town of Abergavenny which is surrounded by the rolling hills and mountains of south east Wales - so when we moved our operation to the valleys of Gwent it seemed an obvious choice to name our core range of beers after the iconic and familiar hills around us. SKIRRID WELSH BITTER – 4.2% vol

The Skirrid is a distinctive peak overlooking Abergavenny and this typical Welsh Bitter is every bit as distinctive. Skirrid is a full of flavour dark beer, ideal for real ale aficionados and lovers of strong flavoursome beer. The blend of ingredients leads to a hoppy tasting brew that sits well when paired with fish dishes or a beautifully matured real Welsh cheese.

BLACK ROCK – 5.6% vol

CHAMPION BEER OF WALES 2016 . A smooth dark ale made with chocolate malt that tastes as velvety as it looks. Made for the ‘real’ real-ale drinker. Suits a vegan diet.

BLACK MOUNTAIN STOUT – 4.0% vol SILVER CHAMPION BEER OF WALES 2015 (winner of Stout and Porter category). Black Mountain Stout has consistently been one of our best sellers since coming onto the market in November 2011. It is very smooth, with good body and has a light brown head that settles to a thin covering. Rich, chocolate and caramel flavours. A wonderful beer that also suits a vegan diet.

ICONIC CRAFTED ALES BLORENGE GOLDEN ALE – 3.8% vol

A light, pale ale with a fresh citrus undertone, ideal for lager drinkers if chilled 2 degrees below normal cask temperature. This session beer is the perfect introduction to real ales if you’ve never tried a craftale before. Refreshing during the warm summer months on its own, this ale can also be used as the perfect accompaniment to hot spicy dishes.

HHH

This is the beer that won us the 3 Gold Star prize at the Great Tastes Awards in 2012 – an accolade we are extremely proud of.

SUGARLOAF – 4.8% vol

You can’t miss the outline of the Sugarloaf mountain as you travel through Abergavenny and you shouldn’t miss this full-bodied bitter either. Sugarloaf is a medium-dry beer, full of colour and flavour suited to all tastes. A rounded full-bodied ale with smooth caramelised undertones, perfect for red meat dishes like beef, steak and, of course, juicy Welsh Lamb.

TUDOR IPA – 4.0% vol

Okay, not named after a mountain but this classic IPA is very much part of our core range of beers. Tudor IPA is light in colour, with a sharp, hoppy, grapefruit finish. Like all our bottle-conditioned beers Tudor IPA is lovingly hand-crafted in Wales.

TUDOR BREWERY beers are all brewed using only the finest quality ingredients and we strive to source ethically produced products wherever possible.

This gives Winter Cheer a subtle and unique flavour which suits most people and adds to any Christmas celebration.

SUPER HERO – 4.5% vol

A Welsh brewed American Pale ale made with all American SIMCOE® Hops from Yakima Chief Ranches. This crisp-tasting, naturally hazy ale is unfined, unfiltered and is suitable for vegans.

RUM TO THE HILLS – 4.8% vol

This is a frighteningly new flavour for those brave enough to try it. This new dark amber beer is infused with extra dark Jamaican rum and molasses to give that extra kick of flavour that will get your taste buds racing for the next hit. A truly special ale with a taste that’s not for the faint hearted. Always popular at the many summer festivals where we show off our products.

INNOVATIVE RECIPES TWMBARLWM HONEY ALE – 4.8% vol

A few miles from the brewery is a mystical mountain called Twmbarlwm. Some say an ancient warrior is buried there and legend has it that it is protected by a swarm of bees that will punish anyone who tries to disturb the ancient tumulus. Inspired by this myth we have used honey, gathered from the mountain’s environs, in this special ale. The honey adds a subtle, sweet note to the melody created by the blend of malts and hops in this wonderfully mellow, ruby, bitter ale.

GREEN GREEN GRASS OF HOME – 4.2% vol

Inspired by the great song by Welsh legend Sir Tom Jones, this Special IPA is a beautiful hoppy beer with a sharp citrus finish – enhanced with the addition of CBD Oil, used widely for its claimed health benefits. The CBD oil we use is processed down the road from us in Wales - we like to keep things local. The beer contains cannabidiol 2.75% and less than 0.2% THC, it is unfined, unfiltered. Suitable for vegans.

WILD BLACKBERRY STOUT – 6.0% vol This traditional stout is brewed using the finest malts and roasted barley, underpinned by fine quality hops. For greater depth of flavour we have added hand-picked blackberries gathered from hedgerows surrounding our south Wales based brewery.

A wonderfully tasty special!

TUDOR BREWERY beers are bottle-conditioned, they should be stored upright in a cool, dark place. Best served at 12-15°. Do not refrigerate and pour carefully leaving behind the natural yeast sediment.
