ELECTRIFYING MELBOURNE? BRITS BRING CARS & STARS TO VICTORIA!
After 3 shows in Australia, it’s high time to show somewhere other than Sydney some love; starting with Melbourne! And so, we start all over again with a launch event, but having delivered ‘Down Under’ for a few years now, this Australian launch is going to be bigger and better than our first one in 2023, and we can’t wait to open the doors on Friday 14th November. If you’ve been before (to one of our previous 21 shows worldwide), you’ll know what to expect, and if you haven’t, we guarantee an electrifying day out for all of the family. Not bad for a bunch of Brits. We know, we know, we’re often termed ‘whinging poms’, but when it comes to Australia’s acceleration to electrification, we’re green with envy at the moment. What we wouldn’t give for some sunshine, a progressive politician like Chris Bowen, a battery rebate scheme that has inspired 100,000 installs since July, and confirmation that our country is 2nd cheapest for car ownership. And yet, getting everyone to ‘go electric’ remains a sizable, long-term challenge. Cost is the key though, and our mantra of #CheaperBetterBatteryElectric wins hearts and minds!
At its heart, Everything Electric offers the most comprehensive multi-brand test drive programme on the planet, and this one includes the first supervised ‘full selfdriving’ test drives ‘Down Under’ too. But as always, our ‘festival of electrification’ is about EVs of all shapes and sizes from micro-mobility to commercial vehicles, including utes and a never seen before, battery electric big rig. An array of home energy technologies are on display too, and whether it’s bill-saving, cleaner air, or energy security that motivates, this show is a rapid route to an all-electric life!
The show is designed to be entertaining too! We’re here to accelerate understanding and inspire confidence, and in that respect we hand over to familiar faces from YouTube, including Robert Llewellyn, Simone Annan and Jack Scarlett from the Fully Charged Show family, plus superb content creators from Australia and New Zealand too, along with the brightest lights in electrification and innovation. What’s more, visitors will be the first audience on the planet to see the two new episodes of Zapheap (a reboot of Robert’s cult classic: Scrapheap Challenge).
