No one knows quite what will happen in the years ahead, but there’s one thing that we’re quietly confident about; and that’s the global surge in electrification. This tech will touch every aspect of our lives, but nowhere will its impact be as profound as it will be in our homes and in our vehicles. This is a megatrend that will ‘trump’ even the most antagonistic of nationalistic leaders. If you’ve bought any of these ‘cleaner technologies’ you will know why they will win, and if you’ve yet to wve would love to bring you up to speed. Not only are these technologies superior – more than 9 out of 10 battery EV drivers will never go back to combustion – but they are cheaper to run, can be powered by the sun, and are a lot more fun. Not to mention the fact that battery costs are continuing to drop, range continuing to grow and chemistries continuing to advance. Over time, fossil fuels don’t stand a chance, but in the immediate future there is a threat, and that brings us to Australia...
As embittered Brits, we are watching Australia with interest and we think that this switch to electrification can be your big moment in the sun. The Asia Pacific region is buzzing with opportunity, not just because of what’s going on in China and South Korea, but Australia is also perfectly positioned to benefit if it embraces electric vehicles, batteries, solar, heat pumps, v2g and so on. To that end, we’ve even launched a new YouTube channel – Everything Electric AUSTRALASIA – so we can better cover the side of the world where we think the bulk of the action will be for years to come.
But back to that threat.... as we are seeing all around the world, ‘electrons and elections do not mix’, and while politicians cannot stop progress, they can slow it, significantly. So when it comes to the upcoming election in Australia, if you believe in this opportunity as we do, we’d urge you to stand against those that
would turn their back on cleaner technologies in favour of a nuclear fantasy.
And now back to the show, for your entertainment and education, we have created a list of visitor attractions that will make you want to come back for more, year on year:
■ Up to 10,000 multi-brand EV Test Drives
> 30 Automakers | ~10 new EV launches
■ Giga Theatre | Live EV Arena | Energy Advice Zone EV Test Drive Experience
■ Micro-Mobility Test Track | Electric Motorbike Test Track Marine Zone
■ Business Day (Friday Only) | Start-Up Pavilion
Commercial Vehicle & Truck Zone.
Our team is delighted to have built out a brilliant show for your enjoyment over three days in Sydney this March, and if we can ask one thing of you, if you would like to see the shift to cleaner technologies continue to accelerate in Australia, bring your relatives, bring your friends, bring your colleagues – especially those that are cynical about these technologies –and help us demonstrate to them that they are here to stay, and that they are much better than what’s been before!
We would like to offer our thanks to all of those that made this happen – not least our headliner carsales – but also to our viewers, visitors, investors, patreons, exhibitors, sponsors and volunteers.
We salute you!
Until then, enjoy!
