Welcome to a brand-new season of entertainment at the Gordon Craig. As the nights begin to close in there is, I hope, something in this season for everyone! Perhaps you are a comedy lover or a dance aficionado, a music fan or an opera buff, a drama queen or a panto prince - I’m sure you will find something as you thumb through the pages to follow.
The eagle eyed amongst you will notice that we’ve given this brochure a little bit of a refresh and that’s not the only thing to be given a bit of attention. Over the quieter summer months, we’ve given our Front of House areas a complete refresh. Not only have we moved the Box Office (who are currently standing by to take your bookings) but we’ve also created a fresh new café-bar in the former gallery space. We’ve been really pleased to see the new welcoming spaces brought to life by audiences over the last couple of weeks and I hope that on your next visit you’ll arrive a little earlier than usual to take a chance to enjoy the new spaces, not to mention a drink or slice of cake… or two.
Of course at this time of year our thoughts turn to the highlight of any theatrical year… the panto! Sleeping Beauty looks set to be one of our most impressive pantomimes to date and there’s certainly been a flurry of exciting ideas in the production meetings, which look set to take Stevenage by storm this Christmas! Tickets really are some of the hottest in town, so be sure to secure your seats today… you snooze you lose!
All of us here at the Gordon Craig look forward to seeing you very soon. Happy theatre going!
Best wishes,
Paul Ruff General Manager, Gordon Craig TheatreWed 11 Oct 7.30pm
