We’ve had a fantastic couple of years following a particularly challenging time for us all during the pandemic. We’ve bounced back and celebrated many milestones we’re particularly proud of.
But we also recognise that our business has changed and developed during that time too and it’s important we listen to our colleagues and take inspiration from their feedback on how we can continue to improve our business.
Last year, we embarked on a mission to redefine what it means to be a part of the Everyone Active team. We carried out surveys and focus groups with our colleagues to delve into the essence of our culture from their perspective. We invited them to share their stories of how they support and improve their local communities and the areas we can focus on to do more. We’ve taken all that feedback on board and created new values that best-
represent what we aim to achieve in our local communities and what matters most to our colleagues.
In the heart of our organisation lies the dedication and passion of our colleagues. Each and every one of them plays a pivotal role in shaping the experiences of our communities. We’re now busy working with our colleagues to better-understand what role each of them plays in practising these values. We’re also working on some particularly exciting projects to help develop our internal communications, management training and recruitment, which we look forward to updating our partners on as the year progresses.
As we reflect on how far we’ve come, we also want to ensure we continue to move forward and take all our colleagues on the journey with us. We’re very proud to have a passionate and motivated workforce within the Everyone Active family and we’re excited for all the new projects we have planned over the year.
Adam Peaty and Maisie Summers-Newton took centre stage to announce Everyone Active as the new operator for London Aquatics Centre on behalf of the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) in March.
Situated at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the iconic venue features two 50-metre pools, a distinctive dive pool with renowned diving platforms and a state-of-the-art 100-station gym, alongside café and ancillary amenities.
London Aquatics Centre is a venue for both elite sport and community swimming, attracting more than one million visits a year for community use and learn to swim programmes.
Paralympic swimmer Maisie won her first world title at the London Aquatics Centre at the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships. She also works closely with our Sporting Champions scheme, serving as a mentor to budding athletes aspiring to follow in her footsteps.
For Adam, the London Aquatics Centre also holds special significance, being the venue where he set his first world record in the 100m breaststroke back in April 2015.
The venue has also entered into a five-year partnership agreement with Peaty’s AP Race Club, and will again host the highly anticipated AP Race London International in May this year, after a successful first event in 2023.
Peat y said: “It’s great to have the partnership with Everyone Active for the next five years so that every single May, AP Race International is going to be right here.

Aquatics GB recently confirmed a five-year partnership with London Aquatics Centre, with the iconic venue now due to host the flagship Aquatics GB Swimming Championships until the LA 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Whilst the Speedo Aquatics GB Swimming Championships has concluded for 2024, in the coming years British aquatics fans will have front-row seats as they watch the country’s best swimmers compete for selection to World Championship, European Championship and Olympic teams.
In the past couple of months, the venue has seen sold-out crowds witnessing world-class racing, with the likes of Adam Peaty, Alice Tai and Matt Richards securing British titles and Paris nomination times.
And, as Aquatics GB prepare to make our centre the home of major swimming and para-swimming events, at Everyone Active we are proud to be a part of the legacy which will undoubtedly unfold for athletes and supporters alike.
Aquatics GB CEO Drew Barrand says: “The Speedo Aquatics GB Swimming Championships was an absolutely brilliant experience in every way, with incredible swims, plenty of our athletes booking tickets to Paris and fantastic atmospheres to match the performances every single day.
“To know that we will be back here for each of the next four years is hugely exciting for everyone involved with Aquatics GB.”
Everyone Active has marked its position as the UK’s secondlargest multi-site golf operator with the introduction of its newest brand, Everyone Golf.
With increased customer demand and several contract wins, we have expanded our golfing services, now offering 10 courses. Everyone Golf launched in April with a new website and refreshed brand look-and-feel across the UK-wide sites.
The new Everyone Golf website is designed to host all the information for each of the facilities and live updates on the course status. Digital features include a hole-by-hole course guide and flythrough footage for each course. All customers can use the Everyone Golf website or digital app for each course, to view available tee times and book on to one of the 10 courses, or book in a session on the driving range.
Ben Beevers, Everyone Active’s Group Development Director, said: “We are thrilled to launch Everyone Golf on the back of a major growth period for our golf portfolio. Golf is a valuable part of

Everyone Active’s renowned Sporting Champions scheme, now in its eighth year, will be supporting more than 1,200 talented athletes in 2024-25.
The programme has helped more than 5,000 athletes to achieve their potential by providing free access to Everyone Active’s 230-plus leisure facilities.
Sporting Champions will also receive valuable in-person mentoring and guidance from an impressive panel of Elite athletes, some of which will be competing at Paris 2024.
This year, we’re planning to host three mentoring days across the country, where Elite athletes and industry professionals will share their experience and expertise, covering topics including mental wellbeing, nutrition, managing finances, media training, social media and more.
The scheme’s all-star line-up of decorated Olympians and Paralympians includes Jennifer and Jessica Gadirova, Lutalo Muhammad, Richard Kilty, Lauren Steadman and Maisie Summers-Newton, while new to the panel for 2024 is GB sprint star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey.
Among the athletes accepted on the Sporting Champions scheme for 2024-25 are:
• Para swimmer Tully Kearney MBE , who recently competed at the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships at London Aquatics Centre, coming away with three Paris nomination times and also breaking the British 50m backstroke record twice
• Ironman world champion Lucy Charles-Barclay , who is targeting overall victory in the new World Triathlon T100 series in both 2024 and 2025, which comprises eight races around the globe against the world’s toughest endurance athletes
Harry has trained at his local Everyone Active centre, David Weir Leisure Centre, since the start of his career.
He has won medals at each of the past three Commonwealth Games, including gold at Birmingham 2022 and Gold Coast 2018.
Harry is also a three-times gold medallist at the European Championships and won individual bronze in the 100m in the 2014 Europeans.
Two-times Olympic taekwondo medallist Lutalo Muhammad wowed the local community when The Dunstable Centre hosted a free family fun day.
The former Team GB star, who won silver at Rio 2016 and bronze at London 2012, led two beginner sessions in which he showed kids and adults how to perform his impressive taekwondo moves.
Lutalo also signed numerous autographs and had selfies taken during his visit to the centre, managed on behalf of Central Bedfordshire Council.
Among the free activities on offer were swimming, badminton, table tennis, squash and pickleball. In addition, there were group exercise taster sessions, a DJ in the gym, a bouncy castle and face painting.
Lutalo said: “It was fantastic to meet the local community at The Dunstable Centre and see such enthusiasm about getting active. There was an amazing response to the beginner taekwondo classes and everyone enjoyed trying out something new.
“It was great to play a part in the excellent work that Everyone Active is doing to improve people’s physical and mental health.”

Colleagues from Chilterns Lifestyle Centre, Chalfont Leisure Centre and Chesham Leisure Centre have been volunteering at the Amersham Hospital Gardens Project, helping to rejuvenate the outdoor spaces at Amersham Hospital for the benefit of hospital staff and patients.
As part of the volunteering activities, leisure centre colleagues recently spent the morning preparing the garden beds outside the Waterside Ward for new soil.
Steve Salwa, Everyone Active’s area contract manager, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to volunteer our time to the Amersham Hospital Gardens Project and give back to the community.
“My team and I thoroughly enjoyed rolling our sleeves up to revitalise the hospital gardens and help to create a calming outdoor space for the incredible staff and their patients.
“It was a fantastic way to show our gratitude to the NHS and we had a lot of team-building fun while doing it.”
Sport for Confidence’s successful Long Covid pathway has launched in Suffolk.
Established in partnership with the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, the pathway first launched in October 2022 to support and facilitate the recovery of people experiencing Long Covid through swift referral and access to occupational therapists
