As we come to the end of a long hot summer and look forward to a new season and cooler evenings, we’d like to look back at some exciting new developments for the Everyman Theatre. Over the past couple of months, we had the opportunity to open our brand-new Education Centre on Grove Street in Cheltenham. We are already delivering dance classes, choirs for all ages and our awardwinning youth theatre in the building. The feedback from the initial groups has been amazing, and there will be even more to offer very soon. You may or may not be aware, much of our Education and Community work is subsidised by the proceeds from ticket sales in our main house and Irving Studio theatres. However, to increase our offering to deliver even more to the underserved communities of Gloucestershire, we need to raise additional funds. These funds will allow the children and vulnerable adults of the county to participate in our life-changing work. To raise these much-needed funds, we are launching a brand-new monthly giving campaign, with the aim of raising an additional £200,000 to support our work. Our monthly giving options, starting from as little as £5 per month, could help us fund a practitioner to deliver a weekly drama session to a group of deserving young people.

As I’ve learned throughout my long career in the industry the arts, and theatre specifically, can really help young people develop valuable skills, increasing their confidence and ability to deal with the challenges and pressures they face in their dayto-day lives. The Everyman has been delivering this important work for decades, and now, with your help, we can expand it throughout Gloucestershire. We also have another great season of work to share with you in this brochure. Our pantomime (Cinderella) is selling fast, so make sure you book your tickets soon to get the best seats. There is also great drama, comedy and some very big musicals coming to Cheltenham. Finally, I would like to congratulate our box office team who were recently recognised by C2S as the outstanding Team of the Year for their amazing customer support. The box office team, along with our ushers and catering staff, are here to help make your experience at the theatre the best it could possibly be, so book now, reserve a space in our restaurant for a pre-show meal and come and enjoy the show. At the Everyman Theatre, we are hugely proud of our Education and Community work. In 2025/2026 we worked with nearly 25,000 people through the county. Our network of community-based choirs, Everyvoice, is a key part of our outreach, connecting people through the joy of singing. Could this be the opportunity you have been waiting for? Dracula A return to the Everyman for Blackeyed Theatre, the producers of Sherlock Holmes and The Hunt for Moriarty. The time is 1897. With its instantly recognisable music and a timeless story of good versus evil, Swan Lake is the greatest of romantic ballets, featuring an evocative score from the prolific composer Tchaikovsky. Its fairy-tale mystery and romance continues to fascinate audiences worldwide.

The premiere of The Nutcracker transformed classical ballet into a fairy tale and became one of Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky’s most famous compositions, as well as one of the most popular ballets in the world.

The gravely ill peasant girl Giselle falls in love with the handsome Prince Albrecht, who has been unfaithful to her. When jealous rivals claim her fiancé, the heartbreak is too much for her to bear. Weakened by her ill health and driven mad by despair, Giselle takes her own life.

Featuring a timeless score by this gifted composer, The Nutcracker is a renowned ballet classic that presents evocative music and exquisite dance.

After the funeral, Prince Albrecht visits her grave. The spirits of women betrayed before their wedding days return to take revenge on their philandering fiancés by dancing them to death. Giselle remains one of the most celebrated classical ballets!

Lucy Beaumont: An Evening with Bad at Quiz Nigel Owens Shows, Good with Weirdos

Lucy Beaumont has had quite the year.

Take a journey back in time to remember Michael Jackson – the man, the music and the magic.

She lost a contestant £79,000 on The Wheel, forgot to revise for Mastermind, and generally confirmed she's terrible at quiz shows. So, she's sticking with what she does best - back on the road with a brand-new show. Following the success of her sell-out debut UK tour, Lucy returns with Bad at Quiz Shows, Good with Weirdos - an evening packed with chaotic brilliance, mayhem, and beautifully surreal storytelling that's made her one of the UK's most beloved comedians.

One of the world’s top rugby referees, Nigel Owens MBE, is visiting Cheltenham to share numerous tales from on and off the field. Nigel is one of the most engaging and humorous characters in the game of Rugby Union, gaining an international following of fans and admirers for his charm, wit, and fairness. He is also the only referee to be appointed to three consecutive Heineken Cup finals and will forever be admired for his dry sense of humour when dealing with players in the heat of battle.

Michael Starring Ben is a hit theatre production featuring the UK's ultimate Michael Jackson tribute star, Ben Bowman. Not only does he look and sound like the King of Pop, but he's honed his routine so meticulously that audiences truly believe they are watching Michael Jackson himself. The show features a live band, dazzling costumes and the performer's iconic dance routines. It also showcases the greatest hits of Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5, including Beat It, Billie Jean, Thriller and Man in the Mirror.

An evening not to be missed for any sports fan. There will also be an opportunity for a live Q&A in the second half of the evening to ask Nigel anything (off the record!).

The King’s Speech The world is listening… A country on the precipice of another terrible war. An abdicated king. A constitutional crisis. Emmy award-winning composer, Gavin Greenaway, has conducted over 200 film scores (Gladiator, How to Train Your Dragon, Wicked, Interstellar), composed music for the theatre, TV and film, the Vancouver Winter Olympics, songs with Bryan Adams and two solo albums of his own piano music.

The One-Man Made-Up Movie Parody

The book explores themes of love, social class, and the nostalgia for disappearing village traditions. The performance is a wonderful combination of spoken word, by renowned actor Mark Carey, and live music from the highly acclaimed ARKangel. A beautiful fusion of spoken word and music to warm the soul..

Meet Mary Anning, a pioneering palaeontologist and the world’s greatest fossil hunter. Born in 1799 in Lyme Regis on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast and known as ‘the lightning girl’ after surviving a lightning strike as a baby, Mary found her first marine reptile fossil aged 12. Her incredible discoveries revolutionised theories of evolution, but because she was a poor, working-class spinster, she was spurned and patronised by the men of science who took the credit for her extraordinary work.

David is blind, and his comedy often explores how his disability turns the most ordinary, commonplace events into surreal, convoluted dramas. Often, he dons his accordion (generally as a spiteful retort to hecklers) and will be performing his folk-flavoured comedy songs, such as his George Formby parody, described by the Guardian as "a comic tour de force."

Award-nominated standup and improviser Jon Hipkiss brings together the ultimate celebration of comedy and fandom. Based solely on your suggestions, Jon will improvise an entirely new Star Wars film all by himself. He's all the trailers, all the characters, all the music, the ships, everything. It’s beautifully funny improvised chaos!

Ignored in her time, celebrated in ours, this new play finally gives Mary the spotlight she deserves.

This brand-new solo show will feature standup comedy, hilarious storytelling, and even more folk and comedy songs than ever before!

Gloucestershire’s sell out magic show “An Evening of Deception” is back in 2027 with an exclusive show featuring two of the UK’s most highly respected magicians!

Critics have hailed their music as “extraordinary" and "fearless", with The Guardian describing their 2024 album Start Close In as a "radical leap”.

Stratford Theatre Company follow up recent successes with Old Herbaceous, Three Men in a Boat and Dead on Cue with a new play about Sir John Falstaff

Rowan and Anna now revisit material from their five-album discography to present a radical reimagining of their life’s work together so far, bringing their evolved sound to the songs that first defined them.

Falstaff was a rogue, a philanderer and a glutton, but also one of Shakespeare’s greatest and enduring comic creations.

Like the stuffing in Geenie’s scarecrow, ‘Hay!’ like the sound she makes when he comes to life and ‘Hay!’ when he sees all the wonders of the natural world for the first time. Only one word but so many meanings in a show about growing up in the heart of the countryside and discovering that you don’t have to stay stuck in the mud – you can live your dreams, spread your wings and fly like the birds.
