In 2015 Simon and Jen David members of the Everyman Theatre’s Community Choir set out on an ambitious plan to build a primary school for the children in the Masama Village of Sierra Leone in just 12 weeks. Having completed their original task the pair are returning to build a nursery and offer musical education for the children of the village.
To help Simon and Jen accomplish their goals the Everyman Theatre is pleased to present a special evening of entertainment to raise funds to build the much-needed nursery for the children of the Kambia District of Sierra Leone. Saturday Night’s Variety Night will be a star-studded event presenting an eclectic line-up of performers including:
• Pam Ayres in a special performance of toe-tapping songs from her new musical Peter Pan with award-winning composer Louis Mander
• Magic and Mayhem from Mark Shortland
• Cheltenham’s very own saxophone and vocal sensation Kym Cypher accompanied by her fantastic all-star band
• Performances from the Everyman Theatre’s own EveryVoice Choirs
• Plus more acts to be announced
• Along with your host for the evening BBC Radio Gloucestershire and Radio 4’s Faye Hatcher
