Hello Birthmother

Welcome to our profile and thank you for taking the time to get to know us.

We are Chloe and Rachel, and we ’ ve been together for 7 years. Adoption is special to our hearts because Rachel’s brother and sister were adopted. We admire you for making this heavy choice.

We don’t know the challenges you could be facing; we won’t pretend to. Hopefully, we will be fortunate enough to get to know you, and we can come to understand better. For now we know you as someone who is choosing to bless our family immensely.

During this time remember that we will be here to offer any support you need. Our experiences with friends who were pregnant have shown us that there is little about pregnancy that is easy.

Know that we will always cherish the gift you give us. We will provide a happy, loving, and supportive home that will be full of laughs and warmth.

We pray we ’ re the right choice for you and that we hear from you soon.

About Us

Rachel and I met 8 years ago, working at a nursing home in our area. I was attracted to her warm and bubbly personality, and she loved the way my smile would light up the room We both have continued our education and remained in the nursing home profession- Rachel is an admissions and discharges coordinator and I am an activity director, at the same nursing home.

I am laid back and have an easy going personality, but once I warm up to you, I enjoy connecting through humor Rachel is very bold and very strong in her convictions She also has a very quirky side and likes to break out in song at any moment. Overall, we really like to have fun, and enjoy doing entertaining things that make lasting memories.

Rachel and I like connecting to nature- we have a garden through the summer, many houseplants, and we enjoy spending weekends at our camp in New Lancaster Valley There we like to relax by the fire, playing games and cooking good food.

We are very family oriented, traveling to and vacationing with our immediate and extended family at our family home in Florida.

Rachel and I enjoy the arts- we make it a priority to go to concerts, musicals, and shows Sharing the arts and connecting with people is important to us. We like a variety of artists and love to see things that offer a new light on life.

Rachel is truly my best friend, there is no one I would choose to spend my time and life’s experiences with than her Our personalities happily compliment each other; she is outgoing and talkative, I am reserved and introspective; she has a tendency to react quickly, I help her slow down and think about it, I sometimes doubt myself and give up, she is driven and motivates me to keep going I am excited for the future of our relationship, imagining Rachel as a mother spreads a warmth through my heart that is love. Rachel cherishes those she loves, so I am certain that she will provide for any child the same.

Rachel & Chloe

Chloe makes everything that feels wrong, better She is so warm and loving, showing her love not only with her words, but in her actions. She is always there to help someone in need; she goes above and beyond for her friends and family. She is always cracking jokes and making everyone laugh She is so wonderful with our friend’s children, they have so much fun playing with her. I love watching her with them, dreaming of our own future children. She is going to be such an amazing mother!

Our Family

(Chloe) My parents both live close and we see them often. My mom has picnics at her home where Rachel and I, and my sisters gather for good food and laughs I am the middle of three sisters Jillian, also a nurse, is my oldest and she has two sons Donte is on his own and lives in Buffalo, NY and Grayson will be graduating high school this coming year Lacey is a few years older than me and came into my life when my mom married her dad, Dave. She has two daughters, Brooklyn and Riley, that are in grade school and would love to have cousins their age to play with Amy is my youngest sister, she lives close and we spend the most time together She often comes to visit with our dad and we will camp, bike, and hike together

(Rachel) I am the oldest of my siblings and stop in to see my brothers at their house as often as I can We are all adventurous and go with each other to concerts and festivals all year Since childhood, every year my parents; brothers, Nathan and Alex; and sister, Chantel would go on vacation. These vacations are some of my favorite memories as a family and I will always cherish them. Our yearly vacations continue, sadly, Chantel is no longer with us

Chantel was hit by a drunk driver on January 20, 2019 We spent 8 days in the hospital as Chantel fought for her life She lost her fight on January 28, at the age of 17. Chantel was such a loving and giving person; she was an organ donor and was able to help many people through her gift of organ donation There is not a day that goes by that we do not think of her This loss has reshaped who all of us are; we know how important family time is, and we cherish our time with each other

Now that we ’ re older, Rachel and I have begun to form some of our own family traditions We have a very large and extended family that comes to our home for holidays, and we welcome everyone to our table She has many aunts, uncles, and cousins that have some deep family roots. A few years ago we began hosting Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas gatherings at our home. It’s special to us to continue a tradition that was passed down to us by Rachel’s mom, who offers guidance and support when hosting a big group

Leisure

We have a small group of good friends that we spend time with Rachel has a handful of friends that she has known since high school that have brought me into their circle as well. Each of them have children, and we are so excited to potentially watch our children grow with theirs We are particularly close to Melissa, whom Rachel met in 9th grade, and her one year old son, David. Our best friend Miranda helped introduce Rachel and I. Her and her fiance Andrew have two sons, Tate and Evan, and those boys are very special to us Growing closer to them is a definite motivating factor in our decision to become mothers. Seeing Rachel hold and take care of Tate and Evan are memories that I cherish She is so comfortable holding children, and she has a special way of connecting with them Rachel and I often camp in New Lancaster Valley, a secluded area near the Reeds Gap State Park. We enjoy disconnecting from technology and enjoying fresh air, and the nearby stream As soon as the weather is warm enough, we are there nearly every weekend we can. Rachel especially finds comfort at camp. After her sister passed away, she found such peace in the woods Her thoughts calm when she is sitting outside by the campfire Rachel loves connecting with people and often hosts dinner parties and get togethers with friends and family Her greatest expression of love is through cooking, we love hosting gatherings at our home; and making a good home cooked meal for the people she loves is important. My favorite pastime is reading, and I enjoy collecting books just as well I officially have a library- over 1,000 books I enjoy both fiction and nonfiction, but I can get into any media that allows me to learn or be introduced to different perspectives on life I am a Christian, Bible study is very important to me, and Rachel and I are searching for the right affirming church for our family. We like to attend the arts as well, going to concerts, plays, and musicals is special to us. We’ve seen a variety of artists and agree we would like to take our children to see their favorite artists as well Really, we just love experiences, whether it be a carnival, festival, or fair.

Work

We both are fortunate to work for the same nursing facility, William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation. We provide care to older adults in our community that come to us for short-term rehabilitation stays and that are also there for the long term. We work in a warm and family-like atmosphere that has many children oriented events, especially at holidays. Rachel is the admissions and discharges coordinator. She facilitates the admissions of all incoming residents, and then organizes the discharges of residents to their home. Admitting residents and seeing them succeed is the most fulfilling part of her job. Chloe is the activity director, and she oversees the activity department. Activities are vital to the well being of the residents that stay in nursing homes She creates and facilitates programs that offer emotional, physical, and spiritual support to everyone that stays there

The best part of my job is spending time interacting with residents daily, and creating fun events that incorporate the entire nursing home.

Our Home

Our Pet

Our ten year old Miniature Pinscher Charlie brings lots of laughs and love to our home Rachel adopted him when he was two from acquaintances that could no longer care for him When Chloe came into the family, he quickly warmed up to her and formed a special bond Charlie is a curious dog that takes his time to get to know someone, but with reassurance is friends with everyone He’s comfortable with his large extended family at gatherings, and is playful and friendly to younger children His favorite pastime, besides eating, is napping in a warm blanket He is also very playful, he comes to life to wrestle on the floor Charlie loves going on short trips, and his favorite place to be is at camp He likes being outside in the sun, looking for wildlife

Two years ago Rachel and I made the decision that we wanted to build a home together We carefully chose plans that would give us room to grow; we picked a three bedroom ranch design. We were fortunate to build beside Rachel’s parents, in a rural development that put our home nestled in the woods, but minutes from downtown Lewistown We have a large yard, and share a backyard with Rachel’s mom and dad. They have a pavilion and a pool which is where many friends and family gather when the weather is warm.
