We are Caitlyn & Brett, a family of three from Bullard, TX. After years of battling infertility, and countless nights of prayer, we feel that God's true calling for us is adoption. We are so thrilled to have the opportunity and ability to pursue adoption and grow our family. We promise to cherish and love your child with all of our hearts and souls, and provide them with a safe and happy home.

We will do everything in our power to provide a life for your baby with every opportunity possible. We want you to know that our prayers are with you and your baby throughout your pregnancy. Whatever decision you make, we know that God will fill you with peace and love.

We were connected by a mutual friend.

Little did we know, a single Facebook message would provide us both with a life full of love and happiness. It was as close as one can come to love at first sight. We have now been married for a little over 3 years, and are looking forward to the next step in our journey.

We are your typical family of three.

Our days are filled with work, play, sports, and relaxation to round it out.

We are avid followers of Christ and believe that God has placed the obstacles he has in our lives to lead us to this point. We are beyond thrilled to begin this adoption process and see what God has in store.

Brett was raised in the small town of Chandler, TX. His first true love growing up was baseball. He lived for the sport, and regardless of the time of day or season of the year, you could count on him being in a baseball uniform. Unfortunately, an injury he sustained his senior year of high school put an end to his dreams of a baseball career. No worries though, he quickly replaced his love of baseball with golf and if you ever need to find him you won't have to search hard. Brett’s life changed forever when we had our daughter, Abigail. Abigail was the piece to Brett’s life he never knew he was missing. If you ask Brett what the best events in life are, he won't hesitate to say meeting Caitlyn and having Abigail. Brett graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and has been in the banking/finance industry for over 7 years.

He is the head of the Mortgage Department for Texas National Bank.

Caitlyn was raised in Bullard, TX, another small town outside of Tyler, TX. Her days consisted of dance, hanging out with friends, camping with her family, and traveling. As an older sister, Caitlyn has always been a leader and a protector over the people she loves. At a young age, Cailtlyn began babysitting for friends and family. It was during this stage of her life that she began to form the motherly instincts that she possesses today. Her dream since as long as she can remember has been to be a mother, and any of their friends or family will not hesitate to say the same. When Caitlyn met Brett and Abigail back in March of 2019 that dream finally became reality. She became a mother overnight and has loved and provided for Abigail as her own since that day. Abigail has called Caitlyn Mom since she was three years old and if you met the two in person, you would never know they are only bound through marriage.

Caitlyn graduated from UT Tyler with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and is a 4th grade teacher at the school where Abigail attends. Caitlyn is the heart and nurturer of the Tidwell home and is the first one everyone turns to for comfort.

MY LOVE

for Caitlyn When it comes to Caitlyn, she was a true blessing from God. Caitlyn coming into mine and Abigail's life has pushed me to be a better father, husband, and Christian than I ever thought possible. I love Caitlyn’s motherly instincts and her love for Jesus. She is the reason that I am as involved in my faith and the church as I am. She has brought our home peace during chaos and comfort during tragedy. I know that she is someone I can turn to in good times and bad and she will always be there to listen. When I first met Caitlyn, she was the first girl I ever met that I knew from the start I wanted to spend my life with. She was the first girl that I ever thought was good enough to be a part of my daughter's life, and I could not have been more accurate. I have had the opportunity to watch Caitlyn be a mother over the last 5 years and I can say with 100% certainty, I would not choose another person to raise a family with. Caitlyn will be, and already is, the most amazing mother a father could ask for for his children, and I cannot wait to see our family of three grow over the coming years.

MY LOVE

for Brett

Brett is the kindest, most loving and gentle man that I have ever met. He is an encouragement to me in my faith and keeps me grounded always. When you're with Brett, you feel deeply valued and loved. Watching him be a dad to our daughter, Abigail, is one of the most indescribable feelings out there. He is hard working not only at his job but also when he volunteers at our church, when he coaches our daughter’s softball team, and when we are at home making family memories. Brett is always living life to the fullest and making sure that everyone is smiling and happy around him. He will always put someone's needs above his own.

Knowing and loving him has made me into the best version of myself possible.

Brett is the calm to the household.

He is the reason and the logic behind the decisions their family makes and is the spiritual leader in the home. While chaos ensues, you will never see worry on his face. His main goal in life is to provide for and protect the family. He is a people pleaser and truly wants the best for everyone in his life regardless of the impact it may have on him.

When it comes to family, both of us were beyond blessed to be surrounded with love and support from our families. We were both fortunate enough to grow up in homes that were strong in their faith and have worked on their marriage through the good and the bad. This provided both of us with strong examples of what a marriage should look like and how to love. Brett’s father was extremely involved in his sports careers growing up, and was his little league baseball coach for years. Brett’s relationship with his mother is a bond that is hard to put into words. She has been his biggest supporter since the day he was born and would do anything she could to ensure he was taken care of and provided for. His parents never missed a practice or a game and always sacrificed their personal time to get him wherever it was he needed to be.

Brett grew up with two sisters, one older, and one younger that was adopted. They taught him how to stay on his toes and fend for himself at all times.

Brett’s extended family has also always played a large role in his life. Being that all of his family grew up in the same city, they were always together on the weekends, birthdays, and holidays. To this day, those relationships still stand strong. His family, including grandparents, still attend his sporting events, but now instead of cheering him on, they are cheering for Abigail as she takes the field.

Caitlyn grew up with her mom, dad, and younger sister. If you needed to ever find her parents they were always right by her side on Friday nights cheering her on as she danced on the field.

Her dad is the definition of a strong family man that keeps the family glued together. He always kept life exciting and made sure that everyone had a smile on their face.

Her mom is the exact definition of who a mom should be. She is patient, loving, and puts everyone's needs above her own. Caitlyn’s sister is her best friend. She is the one that makes her laugh when she needs joy, and she is always making life fun. Some of Caitlyn’s best memories growing up were going camping on the weekends, going to the deer lease with her Dad, family vacations, and spending the summers with her Mom because she is also a teacher.

Family Tradition

One of our most treasured family traditions that we have created comes around every year on Christmas Eve. Caitlyn’s family did this every year growing up and it is now something that we do with our family of three.

On December 24th we come together and make a Jesus’ birthday cake with candles and all. On Christmas morning we talk about the importance and meaning of Christmas and sing Happy Birthday to Jesus.

As far as leisure goes, we love traveling, sports, and spending our free time at the pool and lake.

From a young age, we both grew up taking family vacations and weekend trips. Whether it was camping at the nearby state park, or flying to tropical destinations, we were always on the go.

We have implemented those same ideals into our current family. Brett loves to travel and is always looking to plan surprise trips for me and Abigail. Brett's favorite saying is "there are two things I don't mind spending money on, that is traveling, and my girls".

When we aren't traveling, we are spending the majority of our time somewhere next to the water. With our parents living on the lake, our summers are filled with kayaking, tubing, water skiing, and cruising around the lake on the boats.

If you can't find us on the water, it is a safe bet we are either at the softball field or on the golf course riding around listening to music and enjoying the beauty around us. We love the outdoors and there is no better way to enjoy it than with those you love by your side.

Caitlyn is a 4th grade Math and Science teacher for an elementary school. She has been teaching for 7 years and is living out her dream working with kids everyday.

Work

Brett is the head of the mortgage department at a local bank in our town. His day to day operations include reviewing and approving applicants for purchases, refinances, and other mortgage products.

He is also responsible for bank relations and partnerships with outside investors to offer additional products to their customers that may not currently be available.

Abigail Currently we have an 8 year old daughter named Abigail Tidwell. Abigail is the center of our family and is extremely involved in church and sports. She has the biggest heart and much like her mother and father, she strives to bring joy to those around her. As followers of Christ, we feel a strong calling to adopt and bettering the lives of everyone around us. After years of infertility, miscarriages, and failed IVF procedures, this child will not only feel loved because they are our child, they will feel the love and joy that will overcome all the pain and struggles we have endured over the past three years. Our future children will be viewed and loved as if we gave birth to them. Abigail has been speaking and praying for a little brother or sister from the time we met. She will be the most amazing role model and supporter a sibling could ask for. She will be a protector, a leader, and ultimately a best friend for life.

Pets

We have three pets that we consider part of our family. We have two dogs and 1 cat. The oldest of the three is a lab/australian shepherd mix named Scooter. The middle fur baby is our fun and loving orange tabby cat named Leo. Our youngest is our precious Golden Retriever Copper.

Our Home

Westridge is filled with young families, including some of our best friends (who are currently pregnant). During the cooler months and around the holidays, the streets are flooded with children, riding their bikes and playing. We have multiple parks right down the street from our neighborhood entrance and are also members at Hollytree Country Club in Tyler. The Bullard school district is one of the most sought after school districts in the area and provides great opportunities for growth and education. Bullard is a fast growing and extremely popular destination for families of all races and financial backgrounds. We have town events on the square all the time with opportunities for kids and parents to play, shop, and eat. Our favorite community event comes at Christmas. Last year they brought in truck loads of ice to create snow and actually created a snow hill for the kids to sled down. We love where we live and believe it is the perfect place to raise our family.
