Thank you so much for choosing to take a look at our profile book. We know this is such a confusing and overwhelming time. We appreciate you in a way that is difficult to express with words. We are so excited to add to our family and create amazing memories.
My name is Beca and my husband's name is Jakob. We have been together for about 9 going on 10 years. Our journey towards choosing adoption has been a rocky one. We have struggled with infertility which has made it impossible for us to have a biological child. We want to be able to share our lives that are so full of laughter and light with a child. We have no doubt that you will choose the parent/parents that you think will bring your child the most love.
About Us
Jakob and I (Beca) met when we were both fresh out of college and in our first real jobs at a Mortgage company. We have argued about who made the first move until we are blue in the face. I, Beca, still stand by it was me who made the first move. We've been inseparable after that.
We've both changed careers, Beca is a teacher and Jakob is an IT.
We love spending our time watching movies at home or at the movie theater scarfing down sour patch kids (Jakob) and peanut m&m’s (Beca). We also love going to farmers markets in the Fort Worth area where we live. In the evenings we take walks down to the lake that our neighborhood borders or hanging out with Jakob’s identical twin brother and his wife. Our little family group spends our time together listening to live music and trying new food around the area.

Jakob is my person. He the only person that I have ever been able to be completely myself with and just gets my humor. He makes me smile and keeps me on track. I am completely clueless when it comes to any sort of navigation so he is truly like my compass. (literally and figuratively) He would make an amazing dad. He would be that dad out there coaching the sports teams and checking that the snacks are all ready to go.

Our Family
We are a big holiday time family. We love decorating our house for each holiday and creating a cozy atmosphere. Each year Beca tries to decorate earlier and earlier. We do holiday themed movie marathons for Halloween and Christmas. We split our time between our families either in North Texas or in Houston with Beca’s family. Beca’s birthday is in December and she always insists on a Christmas themed birthday even after years and years of “Ugly Sweater” parties. Jakob’s birthdays are spent with his brother going on whatever new adventure they want to go on in the Summer.
Our Home
Our home is a 4 bedroom two story home. We love having a space for our families to visit. We have started to put together our nursery which has a window that fills the room with light and will highlight the moon and stars we plan to fill the room with. We moved into our home at the beginning of the year and love the neighborhood. There have been lakeside concerts, parades and easter egg hunts in the time since we have moved in. We live about 20 minutes from downtown Fort Worth which has a ton of fun things to do!
Our Pets
Beca adopted Lucy when she moved from college and lived on her own. Lucy has such a big personality for such a small fluffy thing. She is the queen of the house and loves to hang out with Jakob watching TV at the end of the day. She is around 11 years old but has the energy of a kitten.
We adopted Langston together one day when we went to the pet store to pick up cat food for Lucy. We fell in love with him instantly He is such a little gentleman and is everyone’s favorite when they meet him. Jakob’s brother always jokes that he would steal Langston for himself.
Franklin was the only pet we got when he was a baby. We fell in love with his little mischievous face. He is so smart and LOVES people He has a ton of energy He also is so cute when he runs around with his little fluffy blankie that he takes everywhere Izzie was essentially adopted as a friend for Franklin. We thought he needed someone to play with She is the perfect dog and has the sweetest disposition. She is much like her mother in that she would rather be inside watching tv and relaxing on the couch
