"Both Alicia and her brother were adopted, as was one cousin of Alicia's and one cousin of Matt's, along with Matt's father. Alicia learned at the young age of 14 that she would not be able to conceive and carry a pregnancy. Even before beginning a romantic relationship, Matt was aware of this. We both wholeheartedly agree there is more than one way to make a family. We are committed to creating a loving family and being the most loving and caring parents we can possibly be, which is why we are pursuing adoption."
