FIRST YEAR CHECKLIST
Currently still in high school or have never attended or earned college credit after completing high school/high school equivalency (GED).
To qualify for admission into The Evergreen State College you must meet the following:
An unweighted cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
Missing no more than 3 years of College Academic Distribution Requirements (CADRs)
To apply submit the following:
Online application at evergreen.edu/apply (QR code) or CommonApp
$60.00 application fee (waivers available)
Official transcripts/GED scores.
Test Scores (SAT: 4292/ACT: 4457)
• If applying test optional please scan QR code and visit Test Optional Admissions for a 300-500 word essay prompt.
College Academic Distribution Requirements (CADRs)
To meet Washington state college preparedness standards high school students must complete the following high school coursework.
**Waiver for
Running Start/Dual Enrollment/AP/IB/College
Official College Transcripts from the school that awarded the
Test scores from AP/IB test scores
Paying for your education at Evergreen
Financial Aid
Paying for college doesn’t have to be complicated. The first step is applying for federal or state financial aid. The applications open October 1 with a recommendation to complete by March 1.
Merit awards
You will automatically be considered for our Merit Awards at the time of application.

Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)
If you reside in a WUE state*, you’ll automatically be considered for this merit-based award. This award is in place of the awards listed above.
*Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Hawaii, and Guam.
Evergreen Scholarships
These scholarships will help offset the cost even farther by stacking on top of your merit-based award. The application opens October 1 and all applications must be in by the March 1 Deadline.

Local Scholarships
Don’t limit your earning potential. Every year there are thousands of scholarships awarded through community organizations and local companies. Take the time to research and apply for as many as you can.
