A dedicated service, tailored to your needs Whether you are looking for a venue to accommodate hundreds of delegates for a week-long conference, an inspirational location for a brainstorming session or a uniquely beautiful setting for a wedding, St Mary’s College has the facilities, services and experience to meet your every need. Our wide range of facilities is designed to ensure you have everything you require to make your event a great success and your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The College’s bedrooms consist of single and twin rooms with the capacity for approximately 300 people. All rooms come with a washbasin, and there is also a selection of single and twin rooms with en-suite facilities. Whether you want to hold theatre-style lectures and conferences or smaller meetings, workshops and seminars, St Mary’s College can be adapted to suit your event requirements. Should you need additional amenities, the College is also within easy reach of the main University library, lecture theatres and other University colleges, which can be utilised for your event. An essential part of any conference or banquet is the food and drink, and St Mary’s College can cater for any occasion, whether a buffet lunch between meetings or an elegant wedding feast. After consulting with you, we will create menus tailored to your particular requirements, and will happily provide for special diets and requests.

The College’s impressive neo-classical buildings are set against the spectacular Durham Cathedral, a truly inspiring historic building that is part of the designated World Heritage Site along with Durham Castle.
The College has a range of dining facilities, including a large dining hall for sit-down meals and areas that are perfect for buffets or small, stylish private dining. There is also a well-stocked bar and wine cellar available for all guests at the College.
