dear reader,
i’m going to begin my first issue with something i had my mom annotate for me when i was 3 before i could write.
decorating in fall
you can decorate with your decoration in fall if you have any. sometime you can decorate with corn, apples, grapes and tiny pumpkins. but if you have a rotten pumpkin don’t decorate with it and throw it away in the garbage.
maybe i was wiser when i was 3 than i am now 20 years later.
this magazine or zine or digital publication or whatever the trendy title for this thing is, this thing that you’re reading, is called GOSSIP.
GOSSIP was born from my need to write again, from my need to be young again, from my need to create for myself. but it’s more than that. it was born from my anger towards how women are represented in media.
so GOSSIP is a place for women to talk. these pages are for women to speak and be heard, whether the words are serious or silly.
its first issue is for me to have fun, to write again, to take photos, to create for myself, to feel young and maybe a little wiser like my 3-year-old self.
i hope this can grow into a place for other women to do the same.
