WELCOME TO KORN FERRY TOUR GOLF
It is my pleasure to welcome you this week on behalf of everyone associated with the Korn Ferry Tour, from our dedicated staff, current membership and alumni, to the countless volunteers and proud sponsors.
This week, you have the unique opportunity to connect with and follow the next generation of PGA TOUR stars. Last season on the PGA TOUR, Viktor Hovland became the seventh Korn Ferry Tour alum to win the FedExCup, Wyndham Clark’s victory at The Open marked the 29th major championship won by Korn Ferry Tour alumni, and Scottie Scheffler was named the Player of the Year Award for the second consecutive year.
The next Scottie Scheffler is in this field. You can watch the next Wyndham Clark warm-up on the range. You can walk with the next Viktor Hovland at this event. You can witness the next Will Zalatoris hoist a trophy on the 18th green. You can take home an autograph from the next Max Homa. You can see the next Tony Finau accomplish a lifelong goal and secure a PGA TOUR card. Those alumni are among the multitude of PGA TOUR winners who rose to stardom after graduating from the Korn Ferry Tour.
The Korn Ferry Tour will shape the foundation of future Presidents Cup teams, produce another No. 1 player in the Official World Golf Ranking, prepare the next FedExCup champion and possibly a major championship winner. All those possibilities come into focus on the Korn Ferry Tour. As PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan declared last year, the Korn Ferry Tour is golf’s ultimate proving ground.
You are joining us at an exciting time in our 35-year history.
The 2024 Korn Ferry Tour season will see our membership compete across 26 events and six countries for 30 PGA TOUR cards. The Korn Ferry Tour continues to attract a robust group of international members and will capture more emerging talent through PGA TOUR University.
Thank you for your support of the Korn Ferry Tour and our tournaments, and I hope you have a tremendous experience this week as you watch the next generation of PGA TOUR stars lay the foundation of their respective legacies.

A CHICAGO TRADITION
The Glen Club provides a prestigious mix of golf and hospitality on the North Shore
Since America’s first 18-hole golf course was sculpted from Chicagoland soil in 1893, the sport of golf has evolved into one of the country’s greatest traditions. For generations, Chicago has laid claim to being one of North America’s great golf destinations. That tradition continues today at The Glen Club, Tom Fazio’s North Shore masterpiece, which has become Chicago’s premier golf address for strengthening corporate relationships.
Located at the former site
of the Glenview Naval Air Station, The Glen Club sits at the heart of a 195-acre refuge with rolling terrain, dramatic elevation changes, tranquil lakes, meandering streams and stunning vistas, including the Chicago skyline in the distance.
This Top-100 Golf Course will test each golfer’s mettle, while a majestic 48,000 square foot clubhouse features superb dining, tastefully appointed overnight accommodations, a grand ballroom and the finest in corporate amenities.
CROWE FLIES TO VICTORY
Trace Crowe, a conditional member the last two seasons who at times struggled to simply gain entry to Korn Ferry Tour fields, held off Patrick Fishburn and won the 2023 NV5 Invitational presented by Old National Bank with a par on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff at The Glen Club.
Crowe, who entered the week without a top-10 in 28 career starts on Tour, overcame a triple bogey at the par-4 second, amassing eight birdies en route to a final-round 5-under 66 and 25-under 259 for the week.
A native of Greenville, South Carolina and current Charlotte, North Carolina resident, Crowe became the fourth winner in Korn Ferry Tour history to overcome a triple bogey in the final round. The previous winners to accomplish the feat were David Duval at the 1993 Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance, Edward Loar at the 2012 Panama Championship, and Greg Owen at the 2014
United Leasing & Finance Championshp.
“I’m still in shock,” Crowe said. “It’s a crazy feeling. It’s been a long, tough, interesting season. To be standing here… it still hasn’t sunk in. I’m just blown away just how good everyone is, and I feel like I just played unreal the last couple days.”
Following an opening birdie at the par-5 first, Crowe blasted his approach over the second green and into a nasty lie in the fescue. Rather than attempt a heroic shot, Crowe took an unplayable and returned to the exact same spot of his previous shot. Although he hit the green this time around, Crowe threeputted for triple bogey.
“I never was going to quit,” Crowe said. “Just straight back into chase mode. That was my only thought, just keep hitting good shots and just relax and enjoy it.”
Crowe bounced back almost immediately, making birdies at the par-3 fourth, par-5 fifth,

and par-4 seventh and eighth. Three more birdies on the back nine (at the par-4 12th, 13th, and 15th) took Crowe to 25-under par, enough for a two-stroke lead over Fishburn, Chris Gotterup, and Ryan McCormick as he stood in fairway of the par-5 18th.
Playing in the final group, Crowe watched Gotterup two-putt for par just before Fishburn stepped over a 40-footer for eagle. As Fishburn’s ball disappeared and the crowd roared, Crowe gave a relatively blank stare, undoubtedly stunned by what transpired.
After a miscue on the lay up attempt, Crowe hit a wedge onto the front portion of the green and made a run at a lengthy winning birdie putt, but he comfortably twoputted into a playoff with Fishburn.
As the two returned to the 18th fairway for the first hole of the sudden-death playoff, Crowe once again laid up. While the result was much better this time around for Crowe, Fishburn pulled a long iron and once again took aim at the green. A soft landing left Fishburn with a little over 20 feet for another eagle.
Once again, Crowe bounced back, throwing a wedge onto the green and draining a double-breaking 20-footer for birdie to stay alive.
“That putt was massive,” Crowe said. “I don’t think (Fishburn) saw that one going in. I think that probably threw him for a loop.”
The two played the 18th yet again, with Crowe laying up again after a drive into the left rough, and Fishburn mashing a long iron into the greenside bunker.
Fishburn caught his pitch “a groove too low” and left his ball in the bunker. Crowe twoputted for par and the win after Fishburn missed a midrange par putt to stay alive. Crowe’s win was all the more stunning considering the fact he struggled to simply get into Korn Ferry Tour fields.
Crowe turned professional out of Auburn in 2020 and finished T91 at Final Stage of the 2021 Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying Tournament. Although Crowe played 17 events in 2022, often near the bottom of the priority ranking, he only managed one top-25 and finished well outside the top 100 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List.
This week at The Glen Club, Crowe was the 146th player who gained entry to the 156-player field via the priority ranking.
“You really never know how many starts you’re going to get,” Crowe said. “To now be in a position where I can possibly (earn a PGA TOUR card), it’s a dream come true.”
CADDIES TO COLLEGE
All proceeds from the 2024 NV5 Invitational presented by Old National Bank will benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation and its mission of awarding full tuition and housing college scholarships to caddies.
Founded in 1930 by the Western Golf Association and legendary amateur golfer Charles “Chick” Evans Jr., the Foundation is the nation’s largest scholarship program for youth caddies.
This year, a record 1,130 Evans Scholars were enrolled in 24 leading universities nationwide.
Candidates must have outstanding records of academics and caddying, as well as character/leadership and financial need.
Evans Scholars are known for their academic excellence, graduating at a rate of 95 percent and maintaining a cumulative 3.3 GPA.
BY THE NUMBERS
To caddie is to learn about hard work, about people, about life. For Evans Scholars, the lessons learned from caddying help establish a foundation for a lifetime of future success.
To all who help us send hardworking caddies to college, we say thank you.
