In November of 2006, Mr. Vance opened EV&A Architects to better serve his client base and the profession. Located in Las Vegas, Nevada his firm is currently staffed with 18 professionals uniquely qualified to serve the healthcare, hospitality and commercial industries. For nearly 30 years Mr. Vance has served his Las Vegas clients and the profession of architecture. Design excellence characterizes Mr. Vance’s distinguished career. His work has led to numerous design awards and to significant commissions with major commercial, hospitality and healthcare clients. Mr. Vance has been awarded the AIA Nevada Young Architect Citation, the AIA Nevada Service Award and in 2006 he received The AIA Nevada Silver Medal, the highest honor bestowed on an architect in the State. He was elected to the AIA’s National Board of Directors in 2010 where he served a three year term receiving his Richard Upjohn Fellowship in 2012. He was elected to the AIA College of Fellows in early 2014 and received the AIA Regional Silver Medal in October of the same year. He was recently elected to serve as Secretary of the AIA College of Fellows. As a past professor at UNLV’s College of Architecture, he continues to guest lecture professional practice classes and juries 5th and 6th year design studios. Active in his community, Mr. Vance served on the board of trustees as past vice president for the Lied Discovery Children’s Museum. VANCE, IIDA, LEED AP Executive Vice President | Interiors Principal In-Charge With over 30 years of experiences Jonelle’s philosophy of design bridges the gaps of architecture and interiors in a seamless fashion. With millions of square feet of projects to her credit, her expertise includes developing a symbiotic relationship with clients to produce the best project possible. Many of her projects have been awarded for design excellence through AIA and NAIOP. She is the past vice president of JMA Architecture Studios, a nationally recognized design firm, of over 200 professionals, located in five offices in Nevada and California. Alterra Home Loans Las Vegas, NV EV&A developed design concepts, space planning, architectural drawings and coordinated all consultants on this hip new home for Alterra Home Loans. The demographic lent itself to a warehouse feel with open ceiling and more polished interior at the Conference and reception area. The space is comprised of modular workstations and private offices with a ratio of 10/1 . The space is approximately 20,000 square feet. The use of grays, taupes and whites make this a polished modern space. Glass fronts on all offices helps with the light filled space that makes for a comfortable working environment of all age groups in this space.

International Market Center 16th Floor Las Vegas, NV International Market Centerâ€™s 16th floor Employee Consolidation project was a challenge to determine how best to provide space for the current and expanding population of Staff at IMC. It was decided to have an open fun atmosphere for all staff to enjoy a more collaborative work experience. This determination lead to open workstations and private conference spaces in a much smaller footprint that previous spread throughout the massive 4.5 million square foot facility enhancing communication with all groups. All work areas were placed on a raised floor system to allow for flexibility in the future. Everything modular and moveable was the theme of this space from the carpet tiles to glass walls to modular furniture. Additionally a large wall mural was painted by local artist Sush Machida to provide the final touch of bright vibrant color to the space. The space plays an important role in the staff mind set of what it means to move furniture and showrooms around in this massive International Market Center on a yearly basis with two furniture market shows each year.

Security National Las Vegas, NV Security National space exudes sophistication and timeless design in itâ€™s space in Downtown Summerlin. Located on the 6th floor of One Summerlin, the impressive glass walls and conference space at the entry shows the depth of the city from the view. Note the reception desk is placed to the side of the space allowing for the full view to the exterior. The lobby ceiling detail includes the use of hard lid areas with wood herringbone insert detail. Stone flooring is used throughout the entry lobby area for a fresh clean look. The gathering spaces in the work zone are punctuated with rich deep colors and stone and carpet tile are used throughout the space. Offices have glass barn doors encouraging an open door policy welcomed by staff.

Howard Hughes Corporate Offices Las Vegas, NV The corporate headquarters for The Howard Hughes Corporation in Las Vegas was planned to be in One Summerlin, the signature building in Downtown Summerlin. Located on the second floor with a large outdoor entertainment area, the corporate offices are comprised of a combination of Open office spaces, collaborative work areas and private offices of approximately 25,000 square feet. The reception lobbies and board room are set in a rich combination of warm wood walls and stone in neutral tones complementing the exterior of the building and the surrounding neighborhood. The contemporary design scheme was developed to have a clean line modern look that relays the longevity of The Howard Hughes Corporationâ€™s place and stature in the community of Las Vegas.

R&R Chambers Las Vegas, NV With our long standing relationship with R&R partners, the premier advertising agency in Las Vegas, EV&A was asked to redesign a new conference center for their flagship property. Affectionately called The Chambers, EV&A took their design clues from the name to create a space that would incorporate technology and comfort. The use of stone and color along with the decorative light fixture help to warm the space while allowing for a myriad of technology sources to be used. This high tech space transforms into a virtual reality showroom that can be used to present projects the advertising agency is procuring.

Marnell Corporate Center (MCC) - Las Vegas, NV This leading edge professional office park consists of approximately 400,000 square feet of mixeduse, Class A office and retail in a professional corporate campus configuration. Harris Consulting Engineers designed the HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical systems for MCC III, the 71,000 sf multitenant professional office building, MCC IV at 91,000 sf, and MCC V, the 115,000 sf building and three-story parking structure. Las Vegas Metro Police Department Headquarters, Las Vegas, NV Harris Consulting Engineers provided HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Technologies design for the 350,000 s.f. tenant improvement. The project included the 4,000 s.f. I.T. Room. Stand alone HVAC equipment was provided for the I.T. Room. Lighting and power distribution was provided for this area as well as a backup generator for the space. A Preaction fire protection system and an FM200 inert gas fire protection system was provided for this area

Arroyo Office Park, Phase A, Buildings 1 and 2 - Las Vegas, NV HCE completed the HVAC, plumbing and electrical design for one 50,000 sf, two-story, gray shell office building, and one three-story, 75,000 sf gray shell office building with improved elevator/lobby/toilet cores. NV Dept of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation Bldg (DETR) - Las Vegas, NV This project for the State of Nevada was the design of a 60,000 sf office building. It was built-out in phases with the first phase of 36,000 sf and 24,000 sf remaining as gray shell for future development. It was designed for the Silver LEEDÂŽ certification. HCE provided HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical design for the building. Hughes JCM Facility - Las Vegas, NV This project consisted of 32,000 square feet of office area, and 26,000 square feet of warehouse. Our services included HVAC and Electrical engineering for contract documents and construction administration. Cheyenne Commerce Center III - North Las Vegas, NV HCE completed the HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical design for two shell warehouse/office buildings totaling 101,800 sf. CSA Corporate Center Building, Las Vegas, NV The CSA Corportate Center is two-story, 80,000 sf office building with a partial subterranean parking garage. Past Projects JMA Architecture Studios Corporate Headquarters â€“ Las Vegas, NV HCE provided HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical design for this multi-level 17,500 sf corporate headquarters for architectural firm JMA. The building's program goes beyond the typical office and lease/ expansion spaces, to also function as a design studio open to the public. Gallery space houses rotating exhibits of local artists, and the sunset board room, located on a mezzanine level with unrestricted views to the mountains and access to an exterior patio, functions as a public social space. Display space is designated throughout the facility. All inhabitable areas have direct views to the outside, relying on deep overhangs and recessed glazing for solar protection.

Harris Consulting Engineers has provided engineering services for the four phases thus far, including architectural lighting design for Phases II â€“ IV and the Plaza and technology systems design for Phase III. Cashman Equipment Corporate HQ - Henderson, NV Founded in 1931, Cashman Equipment Company is one of the highest rated Caterpillar construction equipment dealers in North America. This project is the new construction of their Corporate Headquarters that will consist of a 3-story Administration Building, Retail Parts facility, Parts Warehouse, 18-bay earth-moving equipment service facility and all other supporting facilities. Introduction Our eyes need light to function and what we see defines our visual environment. Light reveals our surroundings, sets a tone and affects our perception of quality. Light can either enhance our visual experience or detract from it because light is the primary medium by which we sense and evaluate our environment. In a building, lighting equipment must coexist with other systems, and projects must be built within a given budget and timeframe. The lighting system must be easily controlled while using as little energy as possible. The system must be economical to maintain over the lifespan of the building. Light Solutions concerns itself with the practical application of light in the built environment.

Approach A building must do more than simply look good. It should support the work of its occupants by helping them be happy, healthy and productive. Visual performance is largely dependent upon the quality of light. Productivity is affected not only by the quantity of light but its color, the brightness of surfaces on and around the tasks, and within the entire visual field. Effective lighting design is more than simply picking out fixtures. It involves the careful consideration of visual tasks and how human performance and emotive response can be enhanced. It's about creating a work environment that's comfortable and efficient. Profile Since its founding in 1988, Light Solutions has provided architectural lighting design services for a wide variety of project types. Much of our attention has been focused on the gaming and hospitality market but we also provide services for corporate and government office buildings, airport terminals, sports facilities, retail stores, restaurants, and private residences. Ken Reynar and Light Solutions began as the principal lighting consultant for Mirage Resorts, assuming the role immediately after The Mirage opened.
