Here at Turnberry Equestrian we follow the ethos of Equido Horsemanship which is based on natural horsemanship principles. We combine our knowledge of horse and rider biomechanics and psychology along with body language and the use of our own energy to create a true bond between horse and rider. We aim to train horse and rider to perform at their best and promote well being and lasting performance for the horses.
Through sound training methods and the most natural environment for our horses, we allow them to be the best they can as our partners. Working with horses as flight animals requires us to adapt our own thinking to be the best partner for our horses to allow them to feel safe and reach their full potential.
Beginners and established riders alike are able to add to their skill set in their chosen discipline and to strengthen their bond with their equine partner.
BEACH RIDE

Experience the thrill of riding along the magnificent shores of Turnberry Beach. Rider must be at intermediate level.
ESTATE TREK
60 mins – From 5yrs.
Experience is required for children under 8yrs. No experience required for adults.
Explore Turnberry Estate and the surrounding countryside on horseback. From a leisurely stroll around the lanes to an exhilarating canter round our canter field (ground conditions and rider ability permitting) we can tailor your experience to all abilities.
LEAD REIN RIDE

Our expert instructors will guide you around our scenic grounds, ideal for first-time riders and beginners building confidence.
OWN A PONY
60 mins – From 5yrs.
Children can delight in our ‘Own a Pony’ experience where they can groom, saddle, and ride our gentle ponies.

ELECTRIC BIKES
Explore Turnberry’s stunning landscapes on our electric bikes. Effortlessly cruise around the resort or venture into the picturesque Ayrshire countryside.

THE GRENADIER CHALLENGE
An amazing opportunity to drive the ultimate 4x4, the Ineos Grenadier. Learn about this iconic off roader and see firsthand it’s amazing off–road capabilities. Your instructor will take you around the vehicle and around the course before allowing you to test your skills at the wheel.

Follow our expert instructors as you navigate muddy trails, puddles and exciting obstacles on our custom off-road course.

CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING
Have a Go at Clay Pigeon shooting, have some fun and perfect your aim with exciting targets like springing teal and crossing pigeon at our state–of–the–art shooting range.

SHOOTING LESSONS
Guided by one of our senior A.P.S.I. instructors, develop your skills on a diverse range of targets like springing teal and crossing pigeon at our state–of–the–art shooting school and 12 new Sporting stands.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
AIR RIFLES
Master precision shooting at our indoor air rifle range. Housed in a converted RAF facility, our 35m, six–lane range offers a safe, all–weather experience for all skill levels, from 11 years.

ARCHERY
Master the timeless art of archery at our six–lane range. A challenging and enjoyable activity suitable for all skill levels, from 9 years.

SIMULATED GAME SHOOTING
Simulated Game Shooting is a magnificent way to experience the pleasure of traditional game shooting substituting live game birds for clay pigeons, set locally on the magnificent Culzean and Cassillis Estates.
INCLUDES:
• Up to 5 simulated drives including High Pheasant, Driven Grouse and Partridges.
• Full hospitality can be provided including bacon rolls and coffee on arrival, Champagne elevenses, a traditional shoot lunch and afternoon tea.
