EU Alumni Chapters The EU alumni chapters are groups of alumni based in our most populous regions. Thanks to the international backgrounds of our students, we are proud to have chapters all over the world. These alumni communities give EU graduates the opportunity to network and reconnect with former classmates at a range of events.

The chapters are led by chapter leaders, carefully selected alumni who act as EU ambassadors in their home countries. The chapter leaders are a bridge between EU Business School and our alumni, providing key insights into the wants and needs of their respective chapters and assisting with events to facilitate communication and successful collaborations.

Azerbaijan Shahin Taghizade Chief of Finance, Economic Analysis & Accounting Department at High Technologies Park, Science & Education Ministry MBA in Global Banking & Finance, 2014

Shahin works as a chief accountant at a high-tech company. He says that the stress management, networking, teamwork and adaptability skills that he learned at EU have helped him work on group projects, make valuable connections and adapt to situations and new teams. He thoroughly enjoyed his studies and being a part of a diverse student body comprising different cultural backgrounds.

Belgium Christophe De Scheemaecker Co-Author of The First Paris-Beijing Rally-Raid BBA & Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, 1989

During his career, Christophe has held several European and worldwide marketing and business development management positions for a wide range of industries. He has worked with various nationalities and encouraged a cross-cultural working environment.

Currently, Christophe is busy as a co-author of an international multimedia historic book.

Xavier de Bergeyck Senior UHNW Banker and Team Lead for Belgium at J.P. Morgan Private Bank MBA, 1996

Xavier’s first responsibilities in the financial industry were at some of the most prestigious investment banks in Paris. Before joining J.P. Morgan Private Bank as a senior banker and team lead, Xavier held several positions within Belgium’s largest bank, KBC Bank, Credit Suisse and UBS, where he serviced the largest and most sophisticated Belgian family offices.

Denmark Sverre Panduro Board Member, Strategic Advisor & Private Investor BBA, 2000

Sverre Panduro has a diverse international background. After earning a BBA from EU Business School, he pursued an MBA in Canada. With a career primarily in commercial leadership roles within IT and telecommunications across Europe and the Americas, Sverre has been recognized for his open and empathetic leadership style. Transitioning to focus on startup ventures, he currently serves as a private investor, strategic advisor and professional board member. He is driven by his passion for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Egypt Manal Negmeldin Head of Digital & Omnichannel at Elaraby Group MBA in Communication & PR, 2016 & DBA, 2021

Manal has been working in her family business for 22 years. The company has 30K employees and was started by her grandfather over 55 years ago. She established the e-business department and currently manages a team of 500 people. At present, Manal is setting up the company's e-commerce and e-learning portals for employee training and development. Manal is also the founder and CEO of E-Business School, an e-learning portal specialized in digital business. She mentors on different ventures and startups.

France Neil Patton Corporate & Private Aviation Specialist at Allflights Consulting MBA, 2000

Neil is a respected and experienced aviation professional. Since 1979, he has held technical and commercial roles at leading companies in the aerospace industry. Neil brings with him business development skills, extensive international relations experience and a wide contact base. His previous assignments include leading roles at Embraer Corporate Jets and NetJets Europe. He also has provided aviation-related consultancy services to top business figures in the Middle East and Europe and established Europe’s first fractional club.

Germany Dmitrii Nikolaev Founder & Managing Director at Larius GmbH MBA, 2017

As founder of Larius GmbH, Dmitrii’s primary focus is to enhance online sales across Europe, while also guiding manufacturers in navigating their entry into the European market. Dmitrii is also currently pursuing a PhD in which he is examining the implications of emerging technologies on marketing strategies.

Zaira Pérez Esparza Former IT Portfolio Manager MBA in Entrepreneurship, 2013

Zaira's journey from Mexico to Munich fueled her passion for tech and business. Zaira has over 10 years’ experience in banking and has led successful digital transformations.

Multicultural teams are her specialty! Zaira thrives in service-oriented environments and is goal- and quality-oriented, always focusing on building customer trust.

Ghana & Lebanon Osei-Belal A. Kabbara Founder & CEO at Aspire357 Consulting MBA, 2013

Osei-Belal is a seasoned MBA professional with international experience in retail and wholesale, operations management, branding and social media marketing, as well as economic humanitarian development. He excels in strategic planning, local economic development, and agile financial management. Fluent in English, Arabic, Spanish and French, Osei-Belal has worked across diverse global markets. His expertise, along with an MBA in International Business and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, demonstrates his commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Greece Vicky Evangeliou Founder at Marketing Lead & VSN Hub MBA, 1995

Vicky Evangeliou is a communication and marketing expert with more than two decades of experience in FMCG and medicalmega brands. As founder of Marketing Lead, Vicky develops product launch and press campaigns for events, incentive programs and congresses in Greece and globally as well as B2B customer communication campaigns. She is also the founder of VSN Hub whose goal is to enrich organizations’ way of thinking by analyzing and demonstrating how ancient Greek philosophical theories can improve productivity and help solve problems.

Umesh Nair has worked in multicultural and multifunctional environments across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Throughout his career, he has partnered with several top global companies including Microsoft, Amadeus and American Airlines.

Kristina Turchanina has built an interesting and multifaceted career spanning banking, marketing, construction, retail audit, photography, and education. She currently leads an educational agency dedicated to guiding students toward admission to toptier undergraduate and postgraduate institutions worldwide, including EU Business School. Passionate about fostering academic and professional growth, Kristina is committed to developing an engaged and supportive community in Kazakhstan.

Yassine has over 20 years of experience in operations and business management and transformation projects across Europe, the Middle East and Africa within the FMCG and luxury markets, having worked with many well-known brands. Dynamic and methodical, Yassine strongly believes that an organization’s first asset is its people. In his spare time, he loves traveling to new places with his wife and children.

With an MBA from EU Business School and a Bachelor’s in International Business from Universidad La Salle Mexico, Mario combines strategic vision with hands-on execution. He thrives on solving complex challenges and using technology to create meaningful change.

Morocco Sarah Benjelloun Territory Account Manager - French Africa at HP MBA in Design Management, 2020

Sarah’s primary goal at HP is to build relationships and enhance business with the company’s partners, distributors and customers in an ethical manner across 22 countries. Her time at EU taught her about other cultures and broadened her professional horizons. EU also provided her with the opportunity to work in Dubai.

Netherlands Dr. Bart van Straten General Manager at Van Straten Medical, GreenCycl, Medical Repairs BV & WIMI BV BBA, 1994 & MBA, 1995

Bart is an expert in the field of sustainability and the circular healthcare economy. He cofounded GreenCycl, an organization with a mission to decrease the amount of medical waste. Bart holds a doctorate in Bio-Medical Engineering with a specialization in the circular reuse of surgical waste streams.

Elzard van Delft Owner at MK Advisory Group & Mela Pensioen BBA, 1996

After holding a number of sales positions across several industries, Elzard switched to insurance advice. He is the owner of the MK Advisory Group and Mela Pensioen and has been working in the DGA pension and collective pension industry for more than 20 years.

Poland Ewa Pietrzak-Jania Business Development & Engineering Cluster Manager at Mondelez International MBA, 2003

Ewa is an experienced senior leader with a strong background in the FMCG industry. She is skilled in leading teams, managing change projects, budgeting, sales strategy and planning. Ewa is in charge of the project managers and project engineers at Mondelez International, a well-known food and beverage company that she has been with for the past 24 years. She is a proud mother of twin 15-year-old daughters and likes traveling and playing sports with her family. She is also passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion, and volunteering.

Emília Alves has an eclectic journey, reflecting her relentless pursuit of life balance, where every aspect matters—self-care, her many passions, family, friends, career, volunteering, and entrepreneurship. Since 2007, Emília has specialized in coaching, empowering entrepreneurs, business leaders, executives, and organizations to achieve tangible results and unlock their full potential. In 2021, she launched Emília Alves - Disruptive Business, embracing a disruptive and intuitive approach to resolve challenges, clarify decision-making processes, and chart pathways for growth.

Russia Olga Shreiber Business Analyst at Merk Team MSc in International Management, 2017

Olga started her career in the hotel industry, working for the Marriott hotel chain in Germany and later, Russia. After some time, she completely changed her career path and jumped into the world of mobile apps for online events and conferences. At the moment, she works for an IT company that creates applications for high-tech startups and world-famous customers.

As chapter leader, Olga is looking forward to staying connected with the alumni from her country and making the most of networking opportunities.

Singapore Surein Sandrasageran Director at LivingPath Singapore & National University of Singapore BBA, 2011

As the outreach director at the National University of Singapore, Surein champions mental wellness and cognitive health. With a rich background in public service, healthcare and community engagement, Surein has spearheaded numerous initiatives to enhance well-being. He is an avid volunteer, driving projects that build community spirit. His leadership in sports is notable, particularly with the national bowling team. Awarded the prestigious Sword of Honour, he also proudly serves in the Republic of Singapore Air Force. Surein’s dedication to fostering an inclusive society shines through in all his work.

Spain Alejandro Boutin CEO EMEA at Mapfre Assistance BBA, 1994

Alejandro has developed his career in leading positions for multinational companies in the cosmetic, chemical, logistics and insurance sectors. He has been working for Mapfre for over 15 years, where he is chairman of the board and CEO of several Mapfre companies.

He is also the vice-president of Europe for the UNWTO (World Tourism Organization).

Thierry Delmas Managing Director at Kivnon MBA, 1995

Thierry is an international manager with extended B2B experience. He has 18 years’ experience in the automotive industry, renewable energy and robotics. Today, Thierry is the managing director of Kivnon, a leader in mobile robotics. As well as his MBA from EU, Thierry also holds a degree in electrical engineering.

Roya seamlessly blends her multicultural background with her passion for law and business. Born in Tehran, raised in Sweden and now residing in Gothenburg with frequent visits to Stockholm and Barcelona, Roya embodies a dynamic spirit. Her journey from operations manager to launching her own IP (intellectual property) law firm reflects her versatile expertise. Recognizing the pivotal role of IP in the digital age, Roya's passion lies in empowering entrepreneurs with strategic brand protection. Her holistic approach merges legal expertise with business acumen, shaping a legacy of innovation and advocacy.

Switzerland Marina Greene Global Head of PR at Chopard MBA, 2010

Fascinated by multicultural environments, diverse backgrounds and languages, Marina earned her MBA in International Marketing from EU Business School in 2010. In Switzerland, her career has centered on international PR communication, shaping the global media presence of fine watchmaking maisons. This includes orchestrating impactful product launches and generating media coverage worldwide. Returning to EU Business School in 2021 as a temporary lecturer, she enjoyed sharing professional insights from her international experiences with students. Eager to connect with alumni, she looks forward to contributing to the dynamic multicultural community.

Hanan was born in one of the oldest cities in the world, Damascus, Syria. This has empowered her to accept multi-diverse cultures, to respect and welcome others and to seek knowledgeenhancing skills and qualifications. Hanan was raised in a home full of love and books and, as such, had the chance to discover different mentalities and perceptions that drove her to develop a growth mindset, which is key to her current position in Dubai.

Kristina's career spans over nine years in which she has held diverse roles in customer success, sales, product marketing and business strategy across the EMEA, DACH and MENA regions. Her experience includes significant projects including the Google Android initiative, positions at HP Inc HQ, involvement in the dynamic sectors of gaming, programmatic advertising startups, and Autodesk where Kristina has been working for the past six years.

U.S.A. Lauren Ellermeyer President at Beyond Fifteen Communications BA in Communications & PR, 2007

Lauren co-founded Beyond Fifteen Communications in 2009 with the goal of disrupting the traditional communications agency model. Ellermeyer and her partner, Leslie Licano, launched the agency with a client-first approach and a new concept for positioning clients past the expected “fifteen minutes of fame”.

Social Media As our social platforms become increasingly popular, we aim to nurture our online connection with alumni through sharing success stories, news and events while encouraging regular interactions.

Some chapters will choose to maintain region-specific social media platforms, such as a WhatsApp or Facebook group, which can be a useful way of connecting.

If you have an Alumni Hub account, you will automatically be added to your chapter group according to your profile’s current location.

How do I find out about events and activities in my local area?

We post all of our alumni events on the events page of the Alumni Hub, our LinkedIn group and Facebook group.

Also make sure to keep us updated with your latest contact details so we can add you to your chapter’s mailing list.

Can I change chapter group?

If you have moved or are regularly based in another chapter region, you can request to join another chapter group via the Alumni Hub groups page.

What do I do if there is not a chapter for my region?

We have tried to cover our most populous alumni regions, but if you would like to start a chapter in your area, reach out to us and we will look into it.
