THE Parque de España in Fuengirola will host two shows aimed at a family audience, which will be free of charge and start at 9pm.

Although in Spanish, it is hoped that foreign schoolchildren who live in the area will be able to improve their understanding of the language as well as enjoy these performances which are both educational and full of fun.

Tonight, Thursday August 17 features the Afinal Theatre Company, originally from Brazil which has toured the world with a selection of different shows.

EVERY year the La Cala de Mijas Lions Club Diabetic Support Group holds its Autumn Bazaar and this year it will take place on Saturday September 2 from 11am to 4pm.

Then on Tuesday, August 29, the Malaga com­ pany Petit Teatro will arrive at Parque de España with their play La Panda Pirata which focuses in an amusing way on the importance of recycling and the role that the young can play in looking after the planet for the future.

Autumn Bazaar

a donkey who is being brought to La Cala by the team from Donkey Dreamland, subject to it not being too hot so will be a real treat for the children to pet.

There will be a number of stalls selling different items plus a selection of goods from the Lions charity shop set up along the terrace by Snack Attack and Bar Tuta situated in Jardines Botanico.

For those who might feel in need of some refreshment, it will be possible to obtain tickets costing €10 for a lunch special in advance from the Lions Charity Shop or Bar Tuta.

Candlelight Queen

THERE will be a candlelight string quartet tribute to the music of Queen at the La Concepción Historical Botanical Garden, Paseo de las Palmeras in Malaga City at 9.30pm on Saturday August 26.

The one­hour concert presented by the Résonance Quartet will include excerpts from no less than 15 of Queen’s most famous compositions including, of course, the iconic Bohemian Rhapsody. Tickets costing between €18 and €41 via the website https://feverup.com/ which also gives details of future concerts.
