Record employment
MARBELLA is celebrating fantastic employment figures. In July, the city confirmed an employment record with 83,051 registrations at the Social Security Offices.
Data for the last 21 years is available and these figures confirm that there have never been so many people working in the municipality.

DURING August, Estepona there were 83,051 contributors in Marbella at the end of July, 2,128 more than in June (+2.63 per cent).
Council is arranging assisted bathing sessions for people with reduced mobility.
Those people, who benefit from the Home Help Service programme of the Social Services Delegation, are picked up and taken in an adapted vehicle, donated by the Asdies Association for the Disabled in Estepona to El Cristo beach. This activity takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, helping some eight people in each session.
The beach has easy accessibility with changing rooms, showers, toilets, adapted amphibian chairs and crutches and those taking part can enjoy several hours of relaxation.
The previous record for employment in Marbella was last June, with 80,923, which in turn surpassed the previous record, which dated back to July 2022, with 79,847 Social Security registrations.
If we take the yearonyear figure, there are 3,204 more contributions than in the same month of 2022.
The month of July also closed with 53 more selfemployed in Marbella, bringing the total figure to 14,286, which is also a new alltime high.
This makes six consecutive months of increase after January’s drop (84) of selfemployed workers in the municipality.
