LIVE music, a pirate market and guided and dramatised tours together with gastronomic experiences will be the highlights of summer at the castle of Santa Barbara in Alicante.

The castle will open its doors from 10am to 11pm daily. All the activities programmed by Esatur, who are in charge of promoting tourism in the fortress with the supervision of Alicante Tourist Board, are free.

The pirate market, which was a success with the public last summer, has themed activities for children and adults and special decoration of the fortress for three days, runs from from Friday, August 18 to Sunday, August 20.

In addition, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy live music every Saturday with pop, rock, soul and blues groups, whose admission is free, although reservations must be made on the castle’s website. The dramatised tours are on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 9.30pm.
