EARLIER this month, the Balearic Islands made the decision to remove the smoking ban on outdoor terraces, leaving the Valencian community as the last region in Spain to uphold the anti­Covid measure.

Three years after the ban was implemented, and several months after the health crisis officially ended, an association of restaurateurs and hoteliers has called for the ban to be lifted.

CALLOSA DE SEGURA has a new outdoor fitness area, following the opening of a new callisthenics circuit in the town.

The town mayor, Manuel Martínez Sirvent and the councillor for Sports, Antonio Ballester, visited the park on Friday, July 21 to inspect the new facilities.

The callisthenics park was funded by a grant from Alicante provincial council, and is the first project to be completed within a park renovation and remodelling programme.
