Visit the Alpujarras

ON Thursday July 20 Lux Mundi have organised a coach excursion to the ‘Alpujarras’, a Natural Park of the Sierra Nevada. There will be a stop for refreshments on the way before arriving in the village of Trevélez at around 10.30. This is the highest village in the Sierras with stunning views and it is famous for its ham. Here there is free time before leaving at 12.30 for the short drive to Pampaneira. Again there are spectacular views of the Sierra Nevadas and to the coast. There will be free time for lunch, and to visit the many craft shops selling ceramics, leather and clothes.

The coach will leave at 16.00 for the short drive to Lanjaron, famous for being a health spa and its bottled water, the first ever in Spain. There will be free time to explore until 18.00. Arrival back in Torre del Mar at approx. 19.00. Tickets from the Centre price: €20 with a Friend of Lux Mundi Card / visitors €18. Departure times: Torre del Mar (Bus station) 07.45, Caleta (Opposite Vets) 07.50, Algarrobo (Lidl) 08.00.
