AN upcoming concert promises to be a vibrant social event packed full of musical entertainment, while raising vital funds for the Gift of Life animal rescue charity in Alhaurin el Grande.

Taking place on Saturday, June 10, the concert will showcase the extraordinary talents of the harmony trio ‘Tres Deli­ cias’ and several other talented guest performers.

The concert will be held at the Venta Las Palmeras venue, located on the Coin­Alhaurin el Grande road, with music set to begin at 8pm. The venue will also have food available for purchase from 7pm. Tickets to this fabulous musical extravaganza are priced at €5 and can be purchased from Papelería Cristina in Alhaurin el Grande or by calling 627 293 601 or 689 814 930. The Gift of Life animal rescue charity is spearheaded by the dedicated centre manager, Denise Whitehair who is currently facing an influx of abandoned or stray kittens and cats in desperate need of veterinary care. Denise and her husband Bill ensure cats are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being featured on their adoption website, with the aim of finding forever homes in the UK, but the cost of operations mean they need support.

GUESTS are invited to step into the enchanting world of Mijas as the town plans to host the grand finale of its sensational cultural series. Mijas Secrets presents ‘Today and Yesterday’, a captivating history walk that will take guests on an extraordinary journey through time.

On Tuesday, June 6, Mijas Secrets invites guests to immerse themselves in the breathtaking beauty and rich heritage of Mijas, with a special focus on the transformative last century. Guests will wander the town’s charming streets, where echoes of the past merge seamlessly with the vibrant pulse of the present, accompanied by expert guides.

Knowledgeable guides will help guests to explore the town’s hidden gems, meandering along its cobblestoned pathways and uncovering a captivating tapestry of history.

The tours cater to international visitors and will be offered in English, German and Scandinavian languages. Tickets to the tour cost €15 per visitor, and can be purchased by sending an email to: mijasse crets@gmail.com.

Mijas Secrets’ final event of this season follows a string of popular monthly activities, including a mesmerising movie tour, a tantalising wine tasting, an immersive arts and crafts workshop.
