IN a heartwarming gesture, Marbella City Council renewed its collaboration with the Marbella Fibromyalgia Association (Afimar) and the Cudeca Foundation on Thursday, May 26, injecting a generous subsidy of more than €42,000 into the two charities.
The ceremonial signing, graced by Mayor Ángeles Muñoz and councillor Isabel Cintado, showcased the unwavering dedication of these organisations in selflessly serving the community’s most vulnerable families.
Afimar, whose council funding has climbed from €12,500 in 2020 to the substantial sum of €22,357 in 2023. The project has a budget of €13 million, funded by a portion of last year's surplus. Upon awarding the contract, the council will work closely with the current stall owners to determine the start date for construction.

THE Salón Varietés Theatre in Fuengirola celebrated a one night wonder performance by Girl Power who gave high energy renditions of a variety of girl band top hits on Saturday, May 20.
The night was packed full of hits by girl bands in the last 30 years before winding up with a tribute to the biggest girl band of all time, the Spice Girls.
The four part tribute band, made up of Gemma Lloyd, Eva Lloyd, Layla Vocalista and Paige Lefley brought their wicked energy to the stage with their ‘Girl Band’ group.
Audience members were delighted with the lively performance and took to
