GLITZ and glamour returned to La Marina at the AAN Charity’s summer fashion show on Tuesday, May 9. Volunteer models strutted their stuff in stunning outfits while raising funds for the charity which supports vulnerable people in the community.
Brenda Bentley, a volunteer model and organiser, took to Facebook to express her gratitude towards the models and announce the total raised on Friday, May 12, saying that the event raised more than €500. She thanked Andy for supplying brilliant music that set the tone for the entire event, Amed from Delicatessen and Rene from My Cafe for keeping the audience fed and refreshed and for ensuring that the models and at tendees were taken care of.
The real stars of the show were the models themselves! These ladies and gentlemen gave their time to showcase the latest trends in fashion, proving that anyone can look and feel like a million bucks without breaking the bank.
The event was also held last year and has become something of a staple on the local calendar, raising hundreds of euros every year for the charity which supports the needy and homeless in the community with essential items.
MUSIC lovers are invited to a special date near La Zenia. Lyrical Vocal Group is preparing to deliver a stunning Spring Concert on Saturday, May 27 at 7.30pm at the magnificent Capilla de Santa Maria del Mar, located on the N332 La Zenia. Lyrical Vocal Group will unleash a whirlwind of popular hits, dazzling show tunes, and timeless classics that will leave guests impressed. The event is also a charity fundraiser and will support Help Vega Baja’s vital information, caregiving, and support services in the region. Additionally, Samaritans in Spain and the church’s own funds will benefit from some of the funds raised at the concert.
Tickets for the event are selling quickly, so guests are advised to book in advance. Tickets cost €10 and are available for purchase from La Ponderosa in La Zenia, The Card Place in Punta Prima shopping centre, Help Vega Baja shop in San Miguel, or directly from any of the Lyrical members. Secondhand Sparkle’s style
ATTENTION fashion enthusiasts and philanthropists! Prepare for an afternoon of glamour and giving as the Hondon Valley celebrates the grand opening of ‘Secondhand Sparkle’, a brand new charity shop with a fashion show.
The Dream Centre religious organisation is holding a charity fashion show in aid of local causes on Thursday, May 25, from 4.30pm at their location in Hondon Los Frailes.
Guests are invited to check out the latest trends while enjoying cheese and wine at the exclusive event. Donations collected throughout the evening will go towards the Elche Children’s Home charity and The Dream Centre religious organisation.
Admission to the event is free but guests are asked to give a donation. Guests are also asked to secure their spots by contacting Dream Centre Hondon Los Frailes through Facebook, or calling: 634 329 535, to help in preparations.
