AGOF members Walked for Life

MEMBERS of the Almanzora Group of Friends (AGOF) were present at the Walk for Life event held on April 29.

Walk for Life, a voluntary group based in Arboleas that is committed to helping people with cancer, organises the Annual Walk for Life, one of many initiatives that has raised more than €130,000 to date. “Well we did it in spite of the heat,” said Mike Witherspoon, the Group’s Press officer afterwardds. “Thanks for all your sponsorship which we shall gather together next week.” The Almanzora Group of Friends was founded in 1998 as a means of sharing information and giving advice to people who had decided to move to the Almanzora Valley. Their Library and Information Centre is situated on Plaza San Antonio in Albox.
