THE Malaga Provincial Council is continuing its cam‐ paign against depopulation through various initiatives, one of which is the ‘Metavillage’ project. This aims to “strengthen rural identity and pride” among the younger populations of the municipalities at risk of de‐ population in the Serrania de Ronda and Axarquia. The initiative is aimed mainly at young people and women. The pilot experience will have a total of 30 participants who will be distributed according to the needs of the municipalities, and the vital objective is to make all people see, both the older and younger populations, that the villages are places with great po‐ tential.
