THE UK Foreign Office advice against all nonessential travel to Spain, including the Balearics, is “not justified” for the holiday islands, argues regional president Francina Armengol. In interviews with Spanish TV and radio and in social media posts, Armengol maintained the UK government’s decision was not based on health criteria and had been a “mistake.” She stressed Covid-19 infections rates are lower

in the Balearics than in the UK. She also referred to her administration’s “strict” handling of the pandemic. “We closed down more than anyone, reinforced the health system, we were the first to implement obligatory use of face masks and the first to close down nightlife,” she tweeted. “We are safe islands for residents and visitors.” Armengol made it clear her administration has “not given up the tourist season as lost.”

POLICE said it had put a stop to the criminal activities of a gang of thieves using a flat tyre as a ploy to rob victims in Palma. An investigation into the group has led to the arrest of the suspected leader, accused by police of 26 crimes, and another gang member. Another two individuals are under investigation. According to reports the thieves focused particularly on commercial centres. Their strategy was to identify a potential victim, then let down or puncture a tyre on their vehicle while they were shopping. When the victim retuned and realised they had a flat, the gang members would offer to help. The robbers took advantage of the victim being distracted to steal belongings left in the unlocked cars. Sometimes the gang didn’t have to go to such lengths, police said. They just seized the opportunity when they noticed someone

Police have linked the gang to a man they arrested last year. He had been living in Palma and was charged with half a dozen similar crimes committed

along with a second individual. However he managed to flee Mallorca without being identified. Police believe he had been living in Barcelona, but returned t o M a l l o rc a t o s e t u p a n o t h e r criminal group. Police said the investigation remains open.

Shutdown protest WORKERS from Punta Ballena businesses took to the streets of Magaluf on Tuesday, July 28, to protest against the Balearic government’s shutdown of Mallorca’s infamous party strip. The regional administration imposed a temporary ban on business activity on the strip on July 15 to put a stop to booze-fuelled misbehaviour and revellers ignoring Covid-19 infection prevention recommendations. Some 200 people took part in the demonstration. They marched down several of the locality’s main roads waving placards declaring their right to work during the tourist season. “We are not delinquents, we are workers,” they said. “People want to work to survive.” The march ended with the reading out of a list of demands from the Balearic government, including better management of the tourist zone and more PCR testing of holidaymakers arriving in Mallorca. There was also sharp criticism of what the protestors argued was Calvia Council’s “disappointing” and “awful” management of the situation. “They have not known how to manage a situation which has left more than 700 people on the street,” the demonstrators claimed. “They have left Magaluf sick and on the edge of death.” The Punta Ballena employees blamed the problem of crowds of tourists gathered in the street on a lack of police presence in the zone.

THE Mallorca government has given the green light to a €3.5 million round of subsidies for local councils’ environmentally friendly projects. The island administration said the cash is being made available to help local authorities cover the costs of initiatives which help to address the effects of climate change by contributing to energy efficiency and reducing the emission of contaminating gases. The kind of actions the government has in mind are improving public lighting, installing electric vehicle charge points or solar panels, and improving climate control systems in municipal buildings. Litter hard SANTA EUGENIA has taken a hard line on face mask litter. The local council has announced fines of €300 for anyone tossing masks or gloves on the street. A statement from the administration said it will modify the Municipal Police and Good Government by-law in order to apply the sanction where the personal protection materials are not deposited in rubbish bins following approval of the move at a plenary meeting on Tuesday. At the same session the council members agreed upping the fine for dog owners who do not collect their pets’ deposits in the street from €150 to €300. “We cannot allow this anti-social behaviour in such a clean village as ours,” commented Santa Eugenia mayor Pep Lluis Urraca.

PLANS to renovate Llucmajor’s emblematic Cas Coix theatre are on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Llucmajor’s Culture councillor Xisca Lascolas explained the current situation meant that human and financial resources had to be directed to the Social Services department. Lascolas made it clear that the project to do up what had been the municipality’s last working theatre had by no means been abandoned, but stressed, “people come first.” “Now it is not viable to carry out a major renovation. The most important thing is that the council has acquired a property to have a theatre and a cultural reference point, and that is now a reality,” the councillor added. The local authority has just bought the building for €881,000. Of this, €500,000 came from the Balearic Island government, €109,000 from the Mallorca administration and the remaining €272,000 from the municipal coffers. “It has been a long process which finally has seen the light,” commented Llucmajor

THE number of rescued sea turtle success stories in the Balearic Islands has reached a milestone number. The official register of turtles which have recovered and been released into the sea, which was started in 1993, has now reached 1,000 following the return of two of the creatures back into their natural environment in Calvia last week. Tourism investment planning

THE Spanish government will approve a specific investment plan to boost the Balearic Island tourism sector within the framework of the EU Covid-19 crisis Recovery Fund. Tourism Minster Reyes Maroto made the announcement during a visit to Ibiza on Monday. Maroto said the aim of the plan, which will be active next year, is to develop projects which will allow the sector to “pick up speed” and gain ground over its competitors. The plan will be coordinated with the Balearic government and will be with the collaboration of the Ibiza, Menorca, Mallorca and Formentera administrations, local councils and social and economic officers. The minister admitted the total amount of money to be allocated to the initiative has not yet been decided, but she insisted it will be an “ambitious” plan for the “reordering” of the archipelago’s tourism sector. She talked about a “more sustainable” model to extend the tourism sector, pointing out this will be “key” this year; a year she admitted is going to be “difficult.” Balearic President Francina Armengol thanked the government for its “commitment” to the Balearics and particularly “the work elbow-to-elbow” with the Tourism minister. “We have been able to share strategies and to work together in a complicated situation,” Armengol commented.

Rule breakers BARS in Magaluf and Santa Ponsa are among 13 Calvia establishments facing possible sanctions for flouting Covid-19 prevention rules following an inspection campaign. Local Police officers working with the Guardia Civil and Balearic Island government inspectors spent the weekend checking businesses in the municipality were complying with the regulations set out in the plan of exceptional measures for dealing with the pandemic. Calvia Council said it had remained open despite the Balearic administration’s temporary ban on business activity there to prevent rowdy drunken tourism and revellers ignoring health recommendations. According to the local authority this could be regarded as a very serious violation, meaning a very hefty fine and the possible closure of the business. In four dining establishments the reports were related to health safety. Problems included issues like failure to make hydro-alcoholic gel available, staff not wearing face masks cor-

rectly and using window cleaner as a disinfectant. Among the rule violations inspectors identified in five Santa Ponsa bars were failure to comply with social distancing and not displaying maximum capacity signs in toilets. In a Magaluf bar the issue was not closing by 2am. The council further reported that over the last week or so Local Police have made six reports for boozy gatherings on Magaluf and Palma Nova beaches, two for street fights in Magaluf and one for a case of ‘balconing.’ Local Police officers also helped a Magaluf hotel to get rid of eight customers who were causing damaging and making a nuisance of themselves.

Toddler critical after fall A TODDLER has been left in a critical condition after plummeting from her third storey home in Palma on Monday. Spanish press reported the two-year old little girl suffered serious injuries in the accident on Calle Fausto Morell at around 9am. The reports also said the Local Police’s initial investigations revealed the child had been in her bedroom, when for unknown reasons she fell from a window onto an internal patio. An 061 emergency service ambulance sped to the scene and transferred the toddler to the Son Espases hospital paediatric intensive care unit. Due to the seriousness of her condition the Palma Local Police activated a green alert to give the ambulance top priority during the transfer.

THE Mallorca government has been trialling a system in Deia which gives real time information on the number of cars in an area. The administration explained the aim of the pilot project is to “obtain a more efficient management of traffic to the benefit of both residents and tourists.” The Mobility and Infrastructure department initiative is part of the Smart Island platform, which the administration said is all about improving Mallorcans’ quality of life and regulating tourism activity through the application of technology. The mobile station has a system for collecting information on passing vehicles and occupation levels for traffic on certain roads where there is difficult access or little in the way of parking. The councillor pointed out a similar trial had been carried out in Manacor a week earlier and said a similar station will be set up at Valldemossa port in the coming weeks. In the winter months traffic capacity controls will shift to the Serra de Tramuntana zone.

Cat colony rules INCA Council has approved new rules for the management of feral cat colonies in the locality. The aim is have control over all the colonies and to “guarantee their correct maintenance in harmony with the environment,” Environment and Animal Welfare councillor Biel Frontera said. The new regulations, an extension of the existing municipal by-law on pet ownership, set out the guidelines and established that the procedure for controlling feral cat populations will be based on the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) strategy. In order to gain authorisation for the existence of a colony those in charge of its management will have to request its

inclusion on the municipal register. There have to be at least two authorised managers, who will be responsible for feeding the cats. The new rules also establish that cat colonies have to be maintained in the place where the animals have gathered, and they should not be relocated. A further aim is to prevent cats from being abandoned in feral colonies and to activate periodic birth control campaigns. The Environment and Animal Welfare council made a particular point of thanking the volunteers and animal associations which look after the feral colonies and which also put forward proposals for inclusion in the regulations.

They were practising on huge boards on the beach. That was my first love of Spain and Flamenco and I’ve been fascinated ever since. “I can’t wait to go back to Spain. I miss opening the curtains in the morning and saying to myself ‘there’s Spain.’ I love the warmth that wraps itself around you. “I will probably wait until September. It’s a very diffi-

cult time in Benidorm at the moment, well everywhere, and we would all be there if we could to support the businesses.” Sherrie had a painful and difficult lockdown herself, losing her beloved brother Brett, and having to spend confinement alone at her home in Lancashire - separated from daughter Keeley Boyd and her grandchildren. “That was so hard, Keeley and I are stuck to each other like glue. I have had a truly long career and I am very grateful for it, but my family are my reason for living.” Sherrie has indeed enjoyed an illustrious career, and is showing no signs of slowing down having embarked on a new project online. Wonderbirds Show is an online chat show which has amassed almost two million views in just 10 weeks, and is hosted by Sherrie and friends Harriet Thorpe, Debbie Arnold and Dee Anderson. Guests have included Paul O’Grady, Gok Wan, Ann Mitchell and Brenda Blethyn. “The idea initially came about as something to do during lockdown,” said Sherrie. “We were talking one day and said ‘let’s do an online show.’ We realised everyone must have been feeling the same as us, lonely, sad and scared. We thought this would be fun and a great way to entertain and include people. Despite four shows a week, Sherrie still finds time to write for Yours, and together with Dee, created an animated version of Wonderbirds accompanied by a book.

Urban art big attraction UNCONVENTIONAL: Shipping containers make for unusual shops. URBAN art is the big attraction at this year’s AfterSun Market in Calvia’s Port Adriano. Local artists have created open-air works on 10 of the 20 shipping containers set up for the market to serve as shops. A jury made up of representatives from different spheres selected the 10 artists from among 38 who applied for the initiative. The AfterSun market launches this Friday July 31, and will then be open every Saturday and Sunday evening from 6.30pm until August 23. The public can however view the urban artworks located on the port’s main promenade at any time.

Immigrant wave THREE dinghies with illegal immigrants onboard appeared in Balearic Island waters within hours of each other. The Government Delegation in the archipelago reported that a Guardia Civil helicopter and boats, along with Maritime Rescue, intercepted 31 immigrants at about 6.30pm on Friday evening after two small boats were spotted about one mile off Cabrera Island.

The Red Cross and National Police were also mobilised. Maritime Rescue transferred the immigrants, all adults, to Palma Port where they underwent PCR tests to detect any cases of Covid-19. Then at about 1am on Saturday, the Guardia Civil located a third dingy in a bay in Sant Josep de sa Talaia in Ibiza, this time with six immigrants on board. All six were young Algerian men.

Community Teenage driver accounts A WOMAN is under arrest in Mallorca for scamming a residential community out of more than €40,000, according to Spanish press. The 47-year-old reportedly syphoned off money from the community funds between 2014 and 2018 while employed as the administrator of a complex in the Son Gotleu district of Palma. Not only is she suspected of taking cash adding up to some €25,000 out of the community’s account with-

out justification over the four-year period, she allegedly made bank transfers of around €11,000 in all to accounts in her name and set up a direct debit from the community account for her health insurance. The community eventually twigged that something dodgy had been going on when it came to light at a meeting that the accounts were not right and money was owed to insurance companies and other businesses, when according to the woman all the payments were up-to-date. The community immediately sacked her and requested a report on the accounts, which never materialised. Eventually the community reported the 47-year-old to the police. It was further reported that the woman had been charged with a similar crime in Inca.

A TEENAGER driver is in trouble with the law after losing control of his car in Magaluf on Saturday night and crashing it into a lamppost. According to reports the incident occurred just before 10.30pm on Avenida Notari Aleman. The vehicle mounted the pavement and went into the lamppost and a number of traffic signs. Spanish press said the young man behind the wheel, a 19-year-old from Poland, tried to make off, but was stopped by three employees of a nearby restaurant. They held on to him until the Guardia Civil and Calvia Local Police arrived. The reports go on to say that the car belonged to the teenager’s boss and that the 19-year-old had taken the keys. On top of that, the youngster did not have a driving licence.

CRAIG LONGSTAFF and his wife Nicola from Fishy Fishy, in Moraira, have a positive take on the situation “Although our terrace has been cut to 50 per cent capacity, allowing only six tables, we have seen a drop from being 50 or 60 per cent down to 20 per cent. However, I don’t think this summer will get back to normal,” said Craig who also pointed out that “It’s not too bad, one change is that Nicola and I have had to go from only working three or four hours a day to now working eight to 10 hours a day. Our staff are now all off ERTE, but down to the only hours we are able to pay them.” When asked about the news of quarantine for UK travellers he said “We haven’t seen the effects of it yet, but friends from other businesses have already had cancellations,” and added, “We will get by as we are a family business, but unfortunately some businesses will not survive.”

Pedro Salvat, Toldos Guardamar THE lockdown had a very significant impact on Toldos Guardamar, the company’s director Pedro Salvat told EWN, especially because a good many of their customers are British, Belgian or other foreign nationalities. The many orders they had before the State of Alarm came into force had to be held on “standby” due to the restrictions. Now however the team is twice as busy as before lockdown. Not that they were idle during the lockdown. In fact far from it. Paid for out of its own pocket, the company produced face masks, which the team delivered to people’s houses, not only to their customers, but to anyone who got in touch with them. Some 6,000 in all, completely free of

BUSINESS for estate agency Olive Properties is different now from February, says company coowner Joanne Desmond, but the current situation seems really positive. “We are having a huge volume of enquiries,” Joanne told EWN. “Obviously not all clients can travel yet. However, things look very promising and clients are keen to get here. We are seeing an increase in people visiting and the demand is high.” In terms of changes which Olive Properties has undergone as a result of the pandemic, again it is all for the good. “We were quieter, but it gave us the time to do the jobs we were too busy to do before,” Joanne said. “We have fine-tuned the business over the last three months and organised things. We feel more efficient as a team as a result. “We did virtual viewings and videos, which resulted in sales during lockdown, and we are still offering this service and will continue to as a new avenue.” Joanna is optimistic about the rest of 2020. “As a business we are now ready for a positive and busy second half of the year. We are experiencing a lot of interest from foreign buyers, and Spanish also. We feel the end of the year will be very busy and will make up for the quieter months we experienced. We are full of energy and already busy!”

Her feeling is that generally, business is quite good as during lockdown people fell out of love with their kitchens and are now looking for a change. Some however, especially those who live overseas, are a bit nervous and are postponing work for a few months to see how travel develops. Whilst in lockdown, the couple were eventually able to be in the workshop which meant they could prepare material for installation which they are now doing subject to strict hygiene rules.

Increased bilateral trade AN agreement between Turkey and Spain should result in an increase in bilateral trade from €11 billion to €20 billion according to Turkish Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan. Spanish Fishing Fleet SPAIN’S fishing fleets don’t just operate in the Mediterranean as there are a number of vessels all over the world, including Seychelles, where they search for big catches of tuna. One company uses West African crew but at the latest change over, 97 out of 207 new crew were tested positive for Covid-19 and their vessels were impounded and used to quarantine the active cases. Undercover Investigation BUSINESSMAN Mike Ashley, owner of the Frasers Group, Sports Direct and Newcastle United is rarely out of the news and this time it is sug­ gested that his company is paying workers at its warehouse less than the minimum wage. Five years ago, The Guardian newspaper undertook an undercov­ er investigation into the warehouse in Shirebrook Mansfield which it is suggested prompted the company to review its working practices and workers did receive an element of back pay.

Now the newspaper has sent in another undercover team and whilst acknowledging that things have got better, there is an allegation that workers there may once again not be paid the legal minimum wage. In what is possibly a tenuous ob­ servation, The Guardian reporter has suggested that because the staff are not paid for their 30­minute breaks during the day and allegedly are not allowed out of the ware­ house during those breaks, it could be that they should receive addi­ tional payment.

A Frasers Group spokesman told The Guardian that its warehouse workers did not have to be paid for the breaks and that the business had “no rule preventing staff leav­ ing the warehouse during a rest break.” It also acknowledged The Guardian article in a statement to the Stock Exchange saying “We of course take any comments about our workplace conditions very seri­ ously and will investigate them as appropriate, in line with all applica­ ble laws and regulations.”

HOMELESS: PC ‘morons’ recommend referring to people living on the streets as ‘outdoor urban dwellers.’ Cabinet holding a meeting to discuss whether the less militant Germans may be offended if we referred to the perpetrators as Nazis? We’re in a war here and the sooner our pathetic naive leaders come to terms with it, the sooner we may have just a chance of finishing up with our culture and heritage intact. Political Correctness will be the death knoll of the West. Just recently a children’s

entertainer friend of mine was instructed to no longer refer to his audience as Girls and Boys! What the hell does he do when he wants audience participation from different genders? Ask for the ‘not sures’ to come up on stage!? I believe we’ve confused our youngsters quite enough already, without turning their light entertainment into some adult LGBT conflict. I personally think it’s a form of child abuse. If I were at the helm I would seriously be

pursuing some form of prosecution. At this point I’d just like to throw in a few more PC changes recommended by similar morons. Homeless people should be referred to as ‘Outdoor Urban Dwellers.’ Bisexual prostitutes become ‘Equal Opportunity Sex Workers.’ The poor are ‘Economically Marginalised.’ Being drunk is ‘Chemically Inconvenienced.’ Criminals are ‘Behaviorally Challenged.’ Fat people, ‘Metabolic Overachievers.’ Housewives, ‘Domestic Engineers.’ Illegal aliens, ‘Undocumented Migrants.’ And so on. Makes you lose the will don’t it? Excuse me while I go off to get severely chemically inconvenienced! Said my final goodbye to my dear friend Geoffrey Kenion this week. The ceremony was held in the picturesque tranquility of Soller cemetery and was attended by many of his close friends and family. His loving wife Sallyann oversaw the whole occasion with a wonderful dignified serenity and children Simon, Joseph, Rachel and Ella, all delivered moving tributes to their Dad. Looks like I made it! MS BIPOLAR UP AND DOWN WITH BALANCE UNEDITED WE’RE coming up to the birthday that I half-heartedly joked I’d never make, when I was 19, I am 29 years old this week… the big 30 next year!… Most people struggle through their mid-20’s, trying to find their career, the love of their lives, the right home, and the right friends. I’ve struggled to find the will to carry on fighting an uphill battle, instead. I ‘should’ be happy, or so I’m told. I have a fantastic family, a good job and I live in the sunshine. I have good days and bad days. But the bad days seem to roll into one at the moment with no end in sight. The lows feel inescapable, though. It’s like walking through thick tar. You can see the end of the road, but it feels impossible to reach it. Each step takes an inordinate amount of effort and each moment you’re stuck in the thick, sticky, black darkness, you feel yourself sinking lower and lower. There are warning signs. It’ll start with a nagging feeling of frustration, for me. Frustrated with the pace of life, frustrated with my home, frustrated with the food I eat, the body. And then it builds bigger and bigger a kind of inescapable fog, clouding my thoughts and not letting me sleep. Before I know it, I’m stuck in the deep black tar of a low and imagining cracks spreading across ceilings. Ideas, ideas and ideas keep popping into my head, they can be grandiose or, like

mine, subtle, like watercolour paint mixing on a palette. They’re a lot less frightening when you realise what they are - just an overabundance of particular chemicals in your mind, tricking your head into over analysing every signal you have picked up. When I am happy, I will happily cook, bake, paint, laugh, joke, create, write and passionately debate almost anything. I will dance around the room and screech along to my favourite songs. When I’m not happy, I withdraw completely into myself and become a determined introvert. I don’t wish to do anything, and the effort of doing something is intensely crucifying. The problem is, it’s not a black and white kind of situation. When I’m sad, it’s not like everything ceases to amuse me. When I’m happy, it’s not like the world doesn’t occasionally bore me. So. 29. The age I never thought I’d reach. Never really wanted to reach. There are signs - as I’d known all along but never really wished to entertain - that I’m not going to get better. This is the long haul. Up, down, in never ending succession, for the rest of my days. It’s exhausting, you know? And I think the most troubling part is that even now, nearly 20 years after I realised I was different from the rest, and nine years after I was officially diagnosed, the world is still deeply distrustful of anyone with a mental illness. Is she reliable? Can we count on her? Will she let us down last minute? Wonder what her mood will be like today? So I think it’s safe to say Bipolar at 19 and Bipolar at 29 have two things in common; 1) loneliness in my diagnosis and 2) that the world is still not quite ready to be accommodating of bipolar (or perhaps, any mental illness). THE weekend brought a shock, sharp turnaround in the decision the UK government made about lifting quarantine measures by an action to reinstate them, leaving British travellers and Spanish businesses reeling. The decision was made due to two days of high numbers of infection across Spain that were mainly seen in Catalonia. As Monday arrived and the UK had firmly put their foot down Spanish authorities reassured that these outbreaks were under control. Just as Brits were becoming accustomed to following the health measures in Spain and their panic began to dissipate, Boris Johnson’s own panic set in and a decision seems to have been made without sufficient time to allow people to even take in what is happening. Sure, he could be making the right decision, he could be protecting his people. If this is the case we should definitely be giving him a virtual pat on the back instead of shooting him down or attacking him. Some might also see an ulterior motive in that the government made the decision to protect themselves from any further derision with the way they handle the virus in the early stages. In making this decision have they added another nail in the coffin for Spain’s tourism industry? If so, will this drag the UK’s travel industry with it? Spain’s Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol were understandably seeing lower numbers than recent years gracing their beaches and bars, but companies had begun to find ways of working round that. Many had sunk the last of their money into remodelling to cover for safety measures in the gamble that it would pay off and lucky for some it had. Maybe we should take a little time and ask that if our governments are just as confused as we are and can make such urgent and overreactive decisions, is there a chance they could easily lift it again before the week is through?

DEAR Euro Weekly News, I have to say that I entirely agree with Kevin Park (Issue 1827) about visitors not bothering about wearing masks or social distancing. They march down the middle of the pavement crowded together and we have to move out of the way, very often into the road. Twice this week, I have gone into the centre of Fuengirola for shopping purposes. I was truly shocked and angered that so many people are simply not taking this virus seriously. Not only young people but older couples and whole families with no protection at all. And unfortunately, KP is quite right: they were all foreign tourists. Nearly all Spanish people, including visitors, were wearing masks and staying apart. This was mid-morning: what on earth must it be like at night when folk have had a few drinks? How many more deaths do they need in order to realise that this virus is still around? We, who live here, have abided by the rules for over three months. We didn’t go out except for essential shopping, we didn’t meet up with friends or family and so many businesses couldn’t survive and went bust. We didn’t go through all that for some uncaring, irresponsible visitors to come along and ruin it all again. Just imagine if the Costa del Sol had to

When asked during a White House press briefing on Tuesday about the federal prosecution of Ghislaine Maxwell for her alleged role in recruiting, grooming and sexually abusing underage girls, President Donald Trump responded, “I just wish her well, frankly.” To reassure me that I wasn’t hallucinating to this bizarre response to the arrest of Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged accomplice, Trump said it again: “I wish her well.” Maxwell has been charged with helping Jeffrey Epstein commit serious and grotesque crimes relating to the sexual abuse of children. Trump was personal friends with and used to party with Epstein. Trump once declared, “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.” I don’t care what you Trump supporters think of me. You cannot tell me these are words you want to hear coming from the

POTUS. He absolutely raving insane. It is also outrageous that he has White House press conferences and talks about the pandemic without having either of his medical experts on stage with him. A fellow doctor said the other day that, in the world of infectious diseases, Anthony Fauci is like a God. His knowledge is second to none. But obviously there is only room for one God to be at the lectern answering questions. Trouble is Trump’s answers are mostly lies and if not an out and out lie they are simply wrong. Even Fox, his friendly news channel, ripped his lies to pieces. When being interviewed by Chris Wallace he simply called Trump out on every lie he told and there were quite a few. He has done a complete 180 on mask wearing. The list of rubbish he talks is endless. The only time he seems to make any sense is when reading off a tele prompter. Even then he reads like a child stumbling over words and repeating himself. When challenged he will use his favourite phrase ‘lots of people have said.’ He never actually says who they are. So bring it on folks trying to defend him, to me he is a dangerous man and time will tell who’s right.
