THE Balearic government had a rethink on the compulsory face mask ruling for Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca and Formentera, which came into force at the beginning of the week. Regional Health minister Patricia Gomez announced on Monday that the requirement applies to less situations than originally announced and the fine for failing to comply with the regulation has been reduced to up to a maximum of €100.
