AN expat who was allegedly five times over the alcohol limit when she ran over her partner outside their home after an evening out has been arrested in Torre del Mar. The man suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident in Calle Ribeiro on Saturday, February 22, at 9pm, and was in the Intensive Care Unit at the Regional Hospital of Malaga, at the time of going to press. According to reports, the French couple had been out for dinner and, when they returned to the family home, the 40-yearold victim got out of the car to open the garage doors when he was allegedly run over by his partner. On arrival at the scene, the Local Police of Velez-Malaga found the 39-year-old woman in a ‘semi-conscious state inside the car’ before she was breathalysed and found she was five times over the legal limit. Firefighters meanwhile rescued her partner, who was trapped between the car and a wall, underneath the bumper and the front wheel.
