TRAFFICKING
THIRTEEN women have been rescued in Malaga during a joint investigation in Spain, Italy and Romania in which 16 people have been arrested from an organisation that lured their victims through the socalled ‘lover boy’ method, deceiving them with false relationships. The women were seduced by deception, emotional blackmail and coercion, taking advantage of their needy situation or vulnerability and, in many cases, making them think that they could no longer live without their captors. The criminal network involved achieved a profit of more than €5 million, as reported on Monday by the Ministry of Interior in a statement. Once captured, the women were transferred to different destinations in the EU, such as Spain, the UK, Germany and France
