Aggressive patients STAFF of the Regional Hospital of La Axarquia united on Tuesday to denounce a patient who behaved aggressively towards a general practitioner. They also stood to highlight the ongoing issues facing health professionals in the region regarding problematic patients. The event in question happened on July 1 when a patient was receiving a diagnosis from the GP. The female patient persisted to record her conversation on her mobile phone, despite the repeated warnings not to, so that she could report the doctor in case of a misdiagnosis. This incident is the latest in an ongoing issue that the Medical Union of Malaga (SMM) is fighting to raise awareness of. The SMM are pushing for greater protection and security for the doctors in dealing with aggressive patients.
