Mallorca glides its way into the New Year MAGICAL festive fun for free continues at Port Adriano in the run-up to Spain’s traditional Three Kings celebrations, as adults and children alike enjoy a winter theme park in Mallorca. Until Monday, January 7, the Starck Marina will remain the only ice theme park in Mallorca, thrilling visitors with one of the largest skating rinks by the sea, along with a giant slide. On track for safe travel THE Railway Services of Mallorca (SFM) is offering night trains on New Year’s Eve for the first time, to ensure safe transport on the busiest festive night of the year. From Sa Pobla, the first departure will be at 1am and the last at 5am, passing through Inca at 1.16am and 5.16am respectively. There will also be five round-trip trains, the first four will make the Palma to Sa Pobla route and the last exit, in both directions, the Palma to Inca route.

The first will leave the Intermodal Station at 1.30am until 5am with a train every hour. From Sa Pobla, the departures will be hourly from 2am to 5.30am. T h e la s t re turn to Pa lma w ill be a t 6.15am from Inca. There will also be a special evening service from the Manacor line from 1.30am. For more information, visit: www.trensfm.com.

For the more daring, there is a mammoth slide with three lanes to ensure that everyone can have a go at throwing a sled more than three metres high and sliding at full speed for 30 metres. Entrance to the island’s theme park is free from 12 noon to 8pm. Continuing with tradition, Port Adriano has its mythical and much-awaited giant ball where Santa Claus and King Melchior greet adults, children and even pets who want to give their letters before Three Kings on January 6.
