Bone marrow SOS A MARINA BAJA patient urgently needs a bone marrow transplant, the Euro Weekly News learnt via Alfaz Town Hall. The town’s Health centre sent out an SOS asking anyone who can spare the time to attend the Blood Donors session there today, Thursday, between 4.30 and 8.30pm. This does not involve giving blood, said Alfaz’s Health councillor Marisa Cortes. “Registering as a bone marrow donor is simple, rapid and painless and can give hope to many.”

Manager Fernando Millan Chocero, who lived in Elda and had been in charge of the restaurant for five years, suffered serious head wounds, probably inflicted by a blood-stained piece of ro ck fo u n d n e a rb y, s a id sources close to the case.
