lar feature on national pop culture magazines, has gone after a Mallorca court confirmed his seven-year sentence for fraud this week. In 2011 the 21-year-old, whose family has connections with the royal family and has enjoyed generations at the helm
of Mallorcan high society, began using his reputation to secure lucrative property deals. He unburdened other members of the upper class of tens of millions of euros with false promises before eventually being arrested in 2013 on four counts of fraud.
Chief among them was his manipulation of a wealthy couple, neighbours and friends of his family, to sign over €38 million of their assets to him to avoid paying taxes. He claimed to have been ‘pleasantly surprised’ that they decided to do Turn to page 4
