‘For your tomorrow we gave our today’ WAR dead remembered at Malaga cemetery A service was held at St George’s Anglican Church in Malaga to remember those lost in both world wars and more recent conflicts. The service on Sunday November 8 was attended by the British Consul, Charmaine Arbouin, members of the RAF Association, the Royal British Legion (RBL) and people from the local community. The presiding priest was The Reverend Mary Ellen Dolan assisted by The Reverend Doreen Cage. After the church service, the congregation gathered at the military war graves for an Act of Remembrance. The Standard of the Costa del Sol Branch of the RAF Association, carried by Phil Money, led the procession. Mary Le Corney read the RBL exhortation and the Last Post was played followed by two minutes’ silence. The poem In Flanders Field was read by Derek Brown, RAFA. Wreath-laying at the war graves began with the British Consul placing one on behalf of the Queen. More wreaths followed representing the Commonwealth War Graves Turn to Page 4
